Life is so different now! Different doesn’t mean bad... it just means different! We enjoyed the adventures we had back then, we enjoy the adventures we have now! What’s an adventure you had “way back when”? Can’t wait to hear about them in the comments!

The Frey Life My favorite adventure was when I was 20 years old(back in 2000)when I moved 3,000 miles from home for about a year to do a college internship at Walt Disney World. Then in summer of 2001 I moved to California to do a college internship(for the summer)in Disneyland. Those jobs were so fun. I miss it! The following year I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and had to have another surgery.(I've had 25 surgeries, mostly related to Spina Bifida) Having Spina Bifida and Chiari Malformation my body wouldn't let me have those kinds of adventures now,but I'm so grateful I did it back then. Now I'm an artist(I crochet and I paint),and I'm turning my garage into my art studio. Adventures I have now are usually short vacations, that I'm incredibly grateful to be able to go on.

The Frey Life being diagnosed 2 years ago and then surviving cancer today is a journey and an adventure that will change your life in itself! Some days I wonder did it really happen? But my body with its side effects from it all does remind me yes it really did happen lol. But God is good and I'm cancer-free today!

I learned the lessons of the young and ignorant😉. Mary, I'll be continuing to keep you in prayer for your lung function to improve and stabilize🙏. Peter, you'll be in my prayers as well. Please go see Mary's chiropractor for your shoulder. A minor impingement can turn into frozen shoulder before you know it(I have first hand knowledge of this!). I can see how much it hurts just by looking at your face. (My gift God has blessed me with, empathy)

Reminiscing is always fun, we had so many adventures but the easiest to explain here was diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland Australia and the Aufura Sea in the Northern Territory. Our southern summers seem to last longer than your northern summers. I think because of our extreme temperatures and humidity that doesn't drop much at night time. Tonight is officially the last night of our winter. Mary, take care, everytime your cheeks become flush, you usually have an infection. I am sure you don't need to be told, especially having a bit of a temperature.

The roots (window box) are getting too warm in the morning sun. Next year, try mixing some peat moss into the dirt mix (about 50/50). Peat moss will help retain the moisture better. You can amend all your gardens with peat moss too. It will help so you don't need to water so often (especially during hospital stays). I hear (but never tried) that the gel crystals, like in diapers or cool-coats, absorb water then release moisture slowly into the ground. And I'm sure you're aware already, bark will help hold moisture in too and help keep weeds out (even in the window boxes maybe). Love watching you tend the flower beds. It's my relaxing passion too.

My husband passed away 3 years ago from a severe asthma attack and I feel like I have had 2 lives. Before and after tragedy. My entire time with my husband was an adventure. Now it is just a new adventure, raising 3 kids by myself (with the help of the Lord Jesus of course). I know that someday we will be able to tell each other of the time we were apart, but until then I will be working so hard to make my husband proud of the way I am raising our children to love Jesus.

I will say - hubby and I notice that when we look back on healthier times we enjoy the memories and yet it is also bittersweet. Each season of life brings highs and lows. Perhaps that is part of it...cold weather is coming, physical pain in your shoulder, and just a case of the “blahs.” You both do such a great job of coping that it is inspirational. When I got sick, I felt so alone and as though I would never find my happy again. Thank you for bringing so much joy to so many people.

Many seasons in this life!! I loved working and put my heart and soul into it, working about 70-80 hours a week for about 20 years. To me it had become my identity and when I got sick and was unable to work it became a very frustrating and mentally draining. I didn't know who I really was because I could only see myself as a failure. It has been a very long time trying to learn that just because I cant work doesn't mean I failed. It means I have a new "job" - taking care of my health. In this new season am the owner and manager of this body and I have to ensure that I am doing what is best for this "company".

Life looks so different for me from what it did a year ago. A year ago I was getting ready to have my choir concert while having pneumonia and barely able to even sit up. I was also homeless while trying to complete sophomore and junior year all at once. That was all so different to where I am now which is traveling back and forth between my biological family and my new family, trying to find a home for myself, and preparing for my new sister’s wedding next month that I’m gonna be the photographer at. I even started creating videos again because I wanna remember these days. I’m trying and working my hardest and I’m getting somewhere in life. I wanna remember this!

7:20 Mary, when you don't have your shoes, Peter can get out of the car first. Then he goes around to your side of the car. And you tenderly stand on his feet because you don't weigh so much, and you rest very lightly indeed on this Earth. Then you dance on his feet. that's my brilliant contribution for the day. :)

I definitely miss being in school and that lifestyle with ballet, totally miss it, absolutelyyyyyy! Soaked it up for sure! But now I’m taking in this season with Sonoma, a whole new group of amazing friends, family, getting asked to work at gymnastics when I wasn’t asking for a job 😂... not going to college was a big thing. Of course college is always there I could go when I’m 30 if I wanted to. But for now, Gymnastics is my calling! Along with service dog and Lyme disease awareness.

It's funny, just yesterday I was thinking about these seasons of life. I got my Master's in the spring, and now I'm looking for work, and I've felt discouraged by the process. But then it hit me: this is a season. Just like being a student was a season, unemployment is a season. It's not going to last forever, and I should make the most of the time I have now and enjoy the little things. I'm sure I'll find a job when I'm meant to find one. Maybe this season is teaching me to embrace the uncertainty of life.

When I was in college, night classes didn’t get over until 840pm so, many nights, things didn’t “get started” until at least 9. I remember doing everything from going out, dorm meetings to praise and worship until late into the night. I also empathize with Mary because my health was much more stable in college. I wasn’t dependent on walkers and wheelchairs and I walked all over campus.

Gosh watching this made me miss the times i didnt have kids. you can do whatever, whenever and keep more of your pay for random things like dinner in a parking lot.... now i have to wait till im like 50 untill i can do that again :( it was good while it lasted though! we enjoyed our childless years while we had them. weekends away, dinners out, trips to the zoo without having to stick to a little persons schedule. changing plans last min and turning down random roads because you have never been down there before. also driving everywhere!! we used to drive from ireland to england and south england to scotland... now its easier to fly. more expensive though! but more exciting through there eyes... new season now! im sure alot of that will get a little better as they get older. you dont really think about it while your in the trenches but just watching this made me remember what it was like. :)

Peter, The Shoulder pain could be a small Calcium deposit. It is caused, I believe from over use. Maybe from throwing the ball to Ollie? Who knows? But, they are extremely painful. A good Orthopedic Dr can do an injection and also break it up. It hurts for just a second bcuz they also use numbing meds. It helps a lot and I didn't get another one there for many years! Hope this helps. Better checked out sooner than later bcuz it causes inflammation and irritation to the tissues and doesn't go away without intervention. Best of luck and take care. Hi Mary! I hope you are having a good day. :)
