I built a Chris Do AI in my brain from watching all these KZbin videos. 🤣 Now, anytime I have a question, I have this Socratic dialogue in my head that sounds like Chris asking me questions that just lead me to the answer… 😅 I’m a teacher and I appreciate still being able to find amazing educators. Hope we all learn to teach others to find value. 🤙🏼

Agreed. When I've got a hard business decision to make, I often look at Chris in my mind's eye. "His" answers are usually blunt and simple, but require some wrestling of emotions.

The degree to which six figures is achievable is increasingly more challenging when basic needs are not met. When you are starving it is difficult to think. When you are oppressed in inequitable ways stratified by race, class, etc… it becomes increasingly more difficult.

I've followed you for years now and am a massive advocate for you. However, I do think it's worthwhile to really be cautious in comparing how humans interpret and become inspired or even rip-off from artists to create their art vs AI and that process. There are many factors to consider, starting with the most obvious one; AI are not Human, and shouldn't be compared to what we do. It's not the same playing field at all. One clicks of a button with a generic description can syphon through billions of unethically scraped works to automatically compose ideas from the greatest works. A human, however, has to analyze one piece at a time, build up a visual library, explore and find the solutions in their design. We haven't set the ethical groundwork enough to claim that AI won't severely displace talented creatives, because it already has.

So much greatness in here... "AI is a trillion dollar of new wealth but it won't be distributed evenly." --- great quote and tru. M "I spent a lot of time learning it." CD "What is a lot" M "Hours." --- I was cracking up. CD dismantles the ethics argument of Text to Image/Video --- CD masterfully turns the argument into, we need more creative people, we need more creative thinking... more people come aware art, poetry, and cinema is a good thing. "Does it pass the human test before it passes the AI test." "Inspired by..." --- perfect point. "AI racist." Every person in that room has asked a designer to make some, like something else they have seen. AI has leveled the paying field for the non-creative. Also, the argument the Creative Director made is already solved by the private tier on Mid Journey. So many get hung up on the change as the barrier and see it as a problem and don't see it as an opportunity.

My wife says the same thing to me too... "How come you judge everyone so much? How can you work with these people if you feel this way about them?" I tell her something similar "Easily, I can't help make critical observations, but I can put my feelings aside. That doesn't mean they don't have value and we can't work together."

Chris, heres one that holds true always. Effort = Expectation, meaning the effort you give should be on the same level as your the expectations you place on that given subject, task, etc.

Such truth here... I left the door open and was stolen from and lost a $20,000month client after my business partner emptied the company bank account mid project. Starting new relationships in generosity and actually paying attention to who people really are is so important. I've been a teacher for 25 years, 15 years at University Graduate level.... always as a fallback.. Chris, you're an amazing teacher and I second the commenter's post about hoping to teach others to find value. I use your book in my classes.
