Finding your voice is probably the hardest thing ever and yet you've created a blueprint that is so simple and straightforward. Genius is no longer huge invention such as the light bulb, its mental restructuring and improving or simplifying intrapersonal views and opinions to the point where personal growth is very easily achievable and finding the best version of yourself is as natural as breathing.

Honestly... I broke into tears watching this. Literally. I felt like a years of praying, strife, failures... finally.. the pieces are starting to fit and make sense. And seeing your example of the return from the gentlemen that you gave value too... literally that was the point that got me. When you give value you get value in return. It’s just knowing what value truly is. 🙏🏼

Chris gets it! He gets what C.S. Lewis understood: that the school masters and teachers and principals have all gone through the problem-solving so long ago, that they can't remember why the student is experiencing this one specific problem when they should be experiencing the other 12 common problems they've been teaching for years (which equals not going through the process). Teach while learning, learning while teaching. Thankful for Chris and his team. Several jobs due to their gracious giving. His typography class is a must.

27:48 this is how I teach my all my kids as an English teacher overseas. Especially grade school kids. I don't make any particular effort to be perfect, if I don't know a word I look it up. Despite my imperfections I have "pulled off" hundreds of lessons I am super proud of. My journey has been something like artist turned graphic designer turned marketer (turned animation student) turned english teacher and now I'm ploughing back into graphic design via a pivot into UX design (because I LOVE how empathy is the key to UX). My life's vocation is also to pursue my art purely for the sake of doing it - not for the money. But in order to do that, I've had to build a completely different career. I love my story & there are many things I am proud of, but I feel people just get lost when I try to communicate my value. This talk has been super refreshing & blown me away. I would love to hear Chris Do's advice for how I could communicate my value despite having a very varied background. All the same, I will try to find my voice on my own.

Chris Do is such a brilliant storyteller. I’ve watched so many of his talks, and some of his stories told here, I’ve heard before, and yet he managed to still offer new lessons. I mean, the guy really is a master in “stealing” and “repurposing” content. He could tell one story in so many talks and in so many ways, that it offers so many different values. This, along with his “Mindset” talk is probably my favourites that I’ll talk over and over again. So grateful for him.
