I love Alice is missing, but I think it's biggest failing is the prompt decks. Having a few more curated "storylines" would've served the game better than a single modular deck

I think that's certainly true for a lot of groups.

no, as this makes the game what it is, so deduction criminal game with fixed stories, but ALL made by the players, and this works very well (having the right players who match).

Locations and Suspects are linked in the worldbuilding? We never did that, we introduced the Suspects and separately the Locations, each with a story what could be related to her disappearance. I guess the rulebook said so?

No, they don't need to be linked, though I've found it helps to do so.

@@TheGentlemanGamer I don’t think so, as if for example Mr. Halvert gets linked to the Nightclub, but later appears at the Lighttower… nothing should be linked before the game starts, my experience :)
