I'll defend him a little. The macaroons were a very tasteful gift; it would have been highly inappropriate had he brought something from (say) Armani/Dolci. This type of thing is intended to be presented as a gift, not for self-consumption; nice, but not tacky or over-the-top. As for the dish gloves, the man has no doubt spent a great deal maintaining his hands and nails; allow him the distance.

I don't think Graham was saying the margin is too high (he recognizes the cost of ingredients and labor), but he's saying the ROI is low, if you define ROI as enjoyment per dollar/GBP spent. Those gloves for washing dishes are reusable. They wouldn't save much not using them. In order to clean the dishes well enough you should be using hot water which is why they're using gloves. Plus, when you wash dishes as you go, you need fewer utensils/dishes. Great for saving money on stuff and right in line for those that value minimalism to some degree.

Lol to be fair there are times that I cannot do the dishes because I do have a massive outbreak of a skin condition on my hand. I used to get out breaks from doing dishes at work and now that I've quit I haven't had as many problems.

I used to work in Chinese fast food. I helped customers pick and package their food, cashier, food prep, and cleaning the floors and tables. Opened and closed. And what I’ve learned is washing the dishes was the best part because all I had to do was focus on only one thing for that one moment of the week If I got lucky. No fast service, no thinking about keeping customers happy, things organized or portions, and no long lines. Just cleaning. This kid knows nothing about struggle smh I love your videos graham

Graham love your shows. When you have kids, you have to do multiple rounds of dishes throughout the day otherwise it is a mountain of dishes that don't fit in the dishwasher.

You should react to "Rich house/poor house" it's where a rich/poor families would switch houses and lifestyles for one whole week. Each family is given a schedule and a set of "allowances" as well based on that families spending.
