What angers me, is that the supermarkets are stuffed full of fruit and veg from 10,000s of miles away, when if we put our minds to it, we would grow so much of that stuff in the uk! It's disgusting! Even when we DO grow certain things, like soft fruit, it still comes from the other end of the country! eg.. I'm in Perthshire. We are known as a soft fruit area, and yet when you get your supermarket shopping delivered (I'm disabled and very ill, so have to have it delivered), you see that strawberries, raspberries etc have come 100s of miles north, from Kent or some such area! Fruit growers up here are going out of business due to this!
