Chris Benoit took the persona of Dynamite Kid...literally

Robert Davison- I totally agree. U personally never cared for HTM, and always thought his gimmick was lame. I will say though- after watching these interviews- he seems like a pretty standup guy. Definitely seeing him in a diffrent light. Im really enjoying his commentary-

I wanted to hear HTM's version of what happened between him and Dynamite. It's interesting how people's recollections differ.

To be fair to Dynamite (probably the only time I could be fair to him given his other behaviours) Bret claimed (on the SAS) to have been there to see HTM comments on Harley Race and watched DK backhand HTM. So I’m calling BS on HTM here. He may have loved HR but he picked the wrong moment to make a bad joke.

Dynamite Kid may be the best wrestler ever. His work in Japan was legendary with Tiger masks and his speed and ability has not been matched by anyone. A lot of the wrestlers say it too. He was also not one to mess with, the kilq and all that crap would never have existed if Dynamite was around in the locker room. In the ring he was awesome. Out of the ring he seemed to have some bad issues and was not a nice guy. As a wrestler no one could touch him.

Dynamite Kid was 5’9 180 pre steroids. Probably 225 to 235 loaded out of his gills on steriods. You’re all talking about a bunch of 6’4 to 6’9 275 to 320 pound men most damn good athletes being afraid of that little shit in a fight. Lmao!! They weren’t afraid of him they would have beat his ass what they were afraid of was the fact he was a sociopath and they didn’t want to get shot or stabbed or attacked from behind for kicking his little unbalanced angry ass.

From what I've read and heard, Dynamite Kid was someone who you did not mess with. Bret Hart has a story in his book where Dynamite Kid got into it in a biker bar and before a punch was thrown he bit a chunk of this big bikers nose off and spit it out on the floor with the guy screaming and pouring blood from the hole where his nose used to be effectively ending the confrontation and probably making more than several people ill in the process. That is a seriously bad dude and one you might even say is sociopathic. Too skip past throwing any blows in a fight and resorting to brutal animalistic violence is the mark of a deranged individual. I mean the guy was bullying professional wrestlers.

Every time Honky is on defense, he defends himself by saying the other guy (Dynamite or Jake the Snake) took drugs or had his demons and so on. That is true for sure but that does not say they are liars all the time just because they got their problems.

Let me inform you all these vids on dynamite, I live 5 minutes down the road from where both dynamite & British bulldog were born.. it’s difficult to explain fully but if you can imagine a mischievous little kid, sometimes this continues into adulthood especially in this type of loose environment they’re both in.. add in his small man syndrome and you have recipe for disaster. An it’s not just dynamite there’s many people like this where I live. Sad but true, hope it doesn’t ruin Toms legacy.

His legacy is already fairly well tarnished, but as long as there are people both inside the biz and long-term, hardcore fans that witnessed his incredible in-ring performances, he will have a wrestling legacy nonetheless.
@spannerintheworks11903 жыл бұрын
Dynamite's version is HTK had a nice cheque and he waved it in the locker room and said, "wow, I bet the King wishes he had my cheque right now!" Dynamite asked him for a quiet word and just had him up the wall by the throat saying, "don't you ever make fun of the king again, I should take this cheque and give it to the king myself" no other violence as HTK was sobbing. Now, HTK could've been referring to Elvis as 'the King', given his gimmick, and the fact he mentioned Bobby Heenan makes more sense because DK said how backstage he was a notorious shit stirrer and maybe he deliberately twisted it, knowing how good a friends DK and Harley were.
