Love the recipe! I'm getting more and more into vegan diet so i's super nice to have such amazing ideas as your! However, there's something I wanted to ask about. Have you ever thought of making your pestos and humuses available in glass jars? You've been using them personally too so I think it would be great if you considered it. Plastic ones are so unsustainable and way worse for the environment...Anyways, love you guys!

Gabriela I yeh I can't afford 200 grams of cashews for one meal but they look amazing :P
@flaherty50906 жыл бұрын
well really its 200g for 12 meals. you could always freeze the burgers and then just take them out to defrost each time you fancy one. Or half the recipe if you feel like they would lose the flavour in the freezer for that long.
@MSKPELLEGRINO6 жыл бұрын
You might need the fat to bind and make it taste good. Maybe try 2-3 tbsp of peanut butter? Or some ground flax seed? Or even 2 tbsp of oil. I make a similar recipe to this but I use brown rice for the nutty flavor instead of bread crumbs....and a heaping spoonful of corn meal to make the burger much firmer. I like a burger with bite.
@gabrielai22996 жыл бұрын

I notice you didn’t use the flax egg, so what ingredient means you don’t need to use it?
@haydo83736 жыл бұрын
Black beans or sweet potato mashed will bind the mixure together. You can always make oat flour to add as a binder, that'll bind anything together :)

What food processor are you using? Coz I've got a blender style thing that's just... well, it ain't getting done. The cashews and bread become a clogged mess, the leafy greens just sit there like a spider taunting me like "I know what'll happen to me if I go down there, I'll stay up here thank you." So now I have some expensive cashew mush that'll go in the bin and breadcrumbs doing nothing, and 12 baps sat sadly on the counter :/

@hakeemshabazz32076 жыл бұрын
Will Bourner V prolly should let them firm up four to six hours in the fridge first.
@tamcon726 жыл бұрын
There is too much moisture in your finished mixture. Being careful about the ratio of dry binders to wet ingredients is a good idea, as is letting them rest in the fridge before cooking, as Hakeem Shabazz advises. : )
@grainnee5776 жыл бұрын
I love your pesto and other products but, like your other subscriber, I wonder would it be possible to use less plastic. How about some incentive to bring your own jar, bottle or whatever to your shop to fill it? Just an idea! Love your recipes. Thanks a million.

What is this vegan mania for bean burgers? There are other ways to make a great burger.
@orlaithmeehan99406 жыл бұрын
how so? I'm usually only familiar with ones that contain some sort of bean. if you know a low bean/nut/grain vegan burger recipe please let me know!! I pretty much only eat fruit, vegetables and healthy fats so I wouldn't generally eat this because of the breadcrumbs and beans 😔
@gimbutas16 жыл бұрын
I may be starting a YT channel but I have some great recipes for no bean, no bread burgers.
@tamcon726 жыл бұрын
It's difficult to make a protein-rich burger with whole food ingredients without using beans for at least part of the mixture. Once could make a base of ground nuts or mushrooms or roasted vegetables, of course, but it would still need some sort of combo starch to act as a binder and to bring the macro-nutrient ratio into balance for a burger.
