@clararios706 Sure! I use the 16:8 window, but sometimes it would end up being closer to 20:4 because I tend to start eating later than planned. So instead of starting my eating window at noon, even if I start at 4, I still stop at 8. I walk 4 miles a day at 4 miles per hour, 5-6 days per week

I'm just finishing up my 3rd month of adf. I have yet to jump on a scale. I know I've lost a nice amount of weight so far but I don't want to get hung up on the outcome. I'm just enjoying my flatter stomach, my loose jeans and the fact I've been consistent for this long with no major issues. Today is a fast day and you video is a sign I'm on the right path. ❤

And That’s okay. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. That wasn’t my story personally. But I know that it for a lot of people. I would journal your feelings and what you want for yourself. And if possible I highly recommend therapy. It can help a lot with learning to love yourself.

That’s what did it for me too-was told I was pre diabetic a couple of weeks ago and I went to work. I fast 18 hours a day and walk on walk pad 30 minutes a day. Down 10 lbs so far

Our stories are so similar. I'm a little older at 42, I got married in 2017, & me & hubby are dog parents 😊. Since getting married, I have slowly gained weight. At my heaviest, I reached the 270s. I found Colleen in 2022. I lost 35 lbs, then I fell off. I gained it back & them some😢. Im back on it & locked in. I have completed perfect ADF this month, and I love how I'm feeling. I know I'm locked in because I fasted on Christmas Eve with no problem. Thank you for sharing your story. I love the message of loving yourself no matter the size.

Congratulations on your weight loss! You look amazing either way! I’m down about 18 lbs through occasional fasting , eating more protein and workout 4-5 days per week. I was at 207 lbs and down to 187. I’m 5’10 tall. I look and feel better. My blood pressure is back within normal range and no longer on medication.

I started on feb 29th,180 lbs 5'2" (HBA1c-6,prediabetic) some days OMAD some days ADF. . A couple of months i was inconsistent but still managed to lose 30 lbs till now also this month i have changed my workout from doing grow with jo to chloe ting. . It's more challenging. I also watch collen Marie, she inspired me to do ADF.

Something you said that stood out and has worked for me is not restricting yourself ALL the time. That used to be my downfall. I’ve lost 35 lbs since Feb this year and not restricting any food groups has worked wonders. I’m just eating way less.

Congrats. Thanks for the positivity and support. I've lost 62 lbs in 18 months on Wegovy. I was also pre-diabetic. I am going to incorporate fasting and consistent movement starting 11/3/2024. My doctor wants my BMI at 27. I'll aim for a BMI of 25. I will try intermittent fasting , then OMAD, then ADF from Nov - May. I'll keep you posted. If I reach my GW sooner, I'll let you know. You look fabulous, but you always look good, you just got it like that.

Congratulations! I WISH ADF worked for me! It was incredibly easy for me since I intermittent fast daily anyway. However I have Hashimoto’s disease and even with my levels optimal I couldn’t lose a thing. Tried over 6 months. It’s good to see it working for others!🎉

Making sure my caloric content was good and that I fasted the needed hours. I gave myself six months to see if I’d have any results at all. None. I truly wanted it to work lol.

But it's too restricted with what you can eat so I can't see myself maintaining that lifestyle. Lots of protein, veggies and water. No need to workout. It eats the fat off your body. I used Fast Like A Girl with the intention of losing weight, but my cycle had been off before i tried it and my cycle regulated so fast, that i got pregnant month 1. So i would say its really goodz to regulate if your losing weight for fertility. My baby boy is 5 months old. I'm going to try the ADF, to get rid of this baby weight after im done doing my 5 day fast. I have hypertension now, since having the baby cause im at my heaviest at 280 and i need to lose 100 lbs.

Great info, definitely gonna check out the resources mentioned. I've been doing the 16:8 fast for about a week now for weightloss and just to be more healthy. I'm very hopeful and will.most likely get into longer fasting in a few months

Thanks so much for sharing your journey. I take medication, so I would have to figure out if I need to have food with them. I usually don't have food with them currently. I do want to try to do ADF just to see how it goes because after having a hysterectomy, my hormones are crazy and it seems my belly is constantly bloated. I gained 10 pounds just from that. I also joined the Facebook groups you suggested. :)

I have eaten chia seed pudding and "no-oats" to help with getting more fiber and it has helped me instantly...some people add a tablespoon or two to their water and drink it to get the fiber needed for regularity. I get my chia seeds from trader joes. Thank you for sharing your experience and journey. I will have to check out the books you mentioned.

This was so informative and you look fabulous! I can attest that fasting works as well especially in combination with “lazy” keto/low carb but it can get mundane and of course I fell off. However, I don’t think I ever tried alternate day fasting so off to research more.

Me too! I dirty fast that way too and it still works! But no eatting. I do zero calorie drinks. Having done electrolytes So thank you for that information because I totally forgot and you're right it would be beneficial I like to busy I like the fizzy water as wellwater. I think what you said about getting everything on track including your hair Is an excellent idea!😉

Oh what I've been doing For the last few months until recently was 20:4. Which I believe you say it as well. Amazingly when I eat nutritious and I'm fasting I can't eat as much but if I was to just eat a lot of junk I could go on and on and on That's not healthy of course and getting back on some of the sugar and saturated fat as I was doing before even though I was fasting had My cholesterol up. Almost out of the normal range For the 1st time ever in my life. So just like you mentioned I don't count calories either But I realize I need to Try to eat healthy most of the time In order to get the best benefit from this.
