I’ve done so many workouts, diets, even diet pills. I had a conversation with God and asked for help because I was tired of being fat. Started small by drinking water, then changed my diet to low carb/keto, then found Jo and did a workout. Been hooked ever since and I’m finally under 200 lbs!!!! I’m doing the damn thing y’all and so can you!!!

Girl, I am 17 and I have never been pregnant. But I was overweight and struggled a lot with the way my body looked. I went from 175 pounds to 129 because of you. My doctor told me to not do any extreme dieting(Mediterranean Diet). But I had to move for 1 hour a day, doing your dance and walking workouts truly helped me. Although I’m a muscle mommy now, I still do your workouts on a fairly regular basis because they will always hold a special place in my heart. Have a blessed day!❤️

Thank you for this video . I am 33 and my third little girl just turned one . I’ve been down and so sad because prior to having her I lost 30 pounds . I feel upset that I gained it all back even though I am so happy to have had a surprise baby I feel like “ great I have to start all over again” and now I can’t find the motivation. But baby steps and Grace. God bless you !

At 22 I was in a serve car accident, and I broke my pelvis in 3 places. Was on a walker, then a cane. Before this I was running daily, biking you name it. Then I was 22 on a walker. It took a lot of work and the will of God to get through it. Im 24 now and I can walk, I can dance, bike, all the things. Im working slowly back to it. All praise to God. I just started your videos because I used to work out to a lot of worldly songs.. and I wanted more than that so I came and typed in gospel work out videos. Just like God knew there was a need and sent Jesus, there was a need in KZbin community for gospel dance workout videos. Thank you for following that leading. Praying healing over you and for a safe pregnancy for you. God bless.

“We’re not beginners just once on our life journey. We are beginners multiple times.” That was a powerful statement and really spoke to me. 11 minutes in and I don't know why this makes me so emotional to watch... With my last pregnancy I had gained over 70 lbs from being on bedrest. Family members were thoughtless, saying things like I finally lost that perfect girly shape and wasn't skinny anymore. My body really changed and it was so hard to bounce back. My feelings and thoughts were written off as just being shallow and as if I was making a big deal out of nothing - to just accept it as you get older and have children it's a natural part of life to gain weight and it happens to most women, so get over it. I don't think people realize how much it can affect your mental health when you feel like you have no control over your own body. Thank you so much for sharing. You're validating so many women who need it. 💖

this month I'm celebrating my one year of being consistent with Jo and it's been the most amazing journey. One of her videos appeared on my recommended section and I just tried it out. I fell in love with her energy and I promised myself I'd stay consistent, and here I am. I started off with no diet, just plain 20, maybe 30 minutes of exercising everyday for the first month. I quickly started to see results, I was feeling more confident and good about myself and that allowed me to start working on my diet. One year later, I exercise 5 days a week with Jo and have 2 days of active recovery. I lost about 19 kilograms and many, many inches, reaching my goal. Thank you Jo

This is so true. I'm much older and my babies are in their 20's but going through menopause has been my most recent "beginner" phase. Eating and workouts and weight loss are so different at this stage. I tell every mom to be "take care of yourself" while you're pregnant. I also think it is so hard the longer you hold that weight to get rid of it. Love your videos thank you!!

I'm 50, menopausal and for the last 3 years I did none of my favourite moving activities, namely dancing and swimming. Jo's workouts, which I stumbled across 2 months ago, which was when I decided to get active again, were the first workouts I truly truly enjoyed. I loathe the gym, have no patience for yoga, etc etc. I haven't measured my weight loss in kgs, only by the fit of my clothes. Never thought I could get my waistline back during menopause but it came back, thanks to Jo's workouts being the very opposite of boring 😊 it's so nice to know of others in the same age group going through similar experiences. 👍

I waited 12 years to start my journey. I gained a whopping 50 lbs when I was pregnant and continued to gain after and was 260 at my heaviest. About 6 years ago I lost 50 pounds through diet but it became harder for me to eat better when I was cooking for my husband and growing son who have naturally high metabolism and completelydifferent dietary needs then me. I gave up and had floated around 215 to 210 the last 5 years and just began to accept it. This year I decided I couldn't give up. I have been doing your workouts 5 to 7 days a week for a month and a half and have lost 12 lbs. It's the first time being under 200 since before my son was born. Every morning I hit the floor with you and your attitude radiates through and encourages me to keep going. I know things will never look the same for me as they did so long ago but the bottom line is i want to be healthier for my son. I have a big goal that will take alot of time to achieve but I look forward to having you to help 💕

I was 187lbs at 4'11. I was getting down on myself for feeling sluggish and just not being active/productive especially during PMS. I knew walking helps as it helped me in my teenage years. I started doing your workouts 2 weeks ago. This saturday will make week 3. I started by doing the dance workouts because they were only 15min. Then about mid week last week I started to double them or find a 20min slowly pushing myself. Now I have 1 day out the week where I challenge myself. I haven't looked at the scale yet cause i feel it's too early, and plus, i dont want to. My thing is to give myself time to progress, so I'll probably end up looking in the new year 😊. Thanks for this Jo and keep doing what you're doing!

I had my daughter May 2020 via C Section & I too felt like a failure because I didn’t give vaginal birth. I gave birth to my other daughter Nov 2022 and was able to complete my pregnancy by vaginal birth. During this pregnancy, I gave it my all. I prayed more so ever than before, exercised with my toddler, went on walks but most importantly believed that I could do this with God on my side. I told my doctors that having another C Section was NOT a option for me 😅. Now I’m currently working out to your videos and remembering to be consistent this time around. I’m working out 3 to 4 times a week with rest days in between and I definitely feel a difference this time around ❤. THANK YOU JO for your infectious smile & energy you put into your videos! I’m a mama to six children. All C-sections. My first were born early and I labored all night. I was extremely sick, extremely young and I was having twins. All of my birth dreams went out the window. After that, I feel like most of the OB’s I had after treated me like I was another number. I feel like all of my births were traumatic. It’s affected me to this day, so much so, that with each birth I’d suffer severe PD. To the point that I was hospitalized. I have raised my babies without much support and have always felt alone. As I process through the pain of it all now…I’m grateful for what my body did for me. I’m grateful for the gift of all of my children. I’m now on a journey to regain my strength in every way. I’ve recently lost a significant amount of weight but for me, it’s my mental health that needs healing the most. I strongly feel like if your mental health is in the process of healing, your physical body will come along. They go hand in hand ❤

Mom of 3, and almost 39 now. Have had 2 c-sections. I’m always skinny, and then overweight, repeat….I’m just so ready now to keep the weight off and maintain, but most of all, being healthy isn’t just working out. It’s what u eat, read, focus on, who your friends are, etc and being spiritually close to God. Imo I want to be healthy all around…I was sluggish and a binge eater for 2 years…I realize now my body craves movement. One day at a time. It’s a lifestyle for sure, not a phase. I’ve also ditched the scale because we are more than just “numbers” focus on how you “feel”. Most days I feel stuck, other days I feel good but one thing I’ve learned: progress not perfection. We got this ladies!!! 🎉🎉 Thanks Jo for sharing your journey with us. 💜

The past year has been incredibly difficult, having lost 4 people in my life and navigating grief on levels I’ve never experienced before. Days in bed, not moving, not eating well. I ended up putting on 17 pounds this year and at my latest check up hit 200 pounds (highest I’ve ever been). I found your content on tik tok and decided to check out your KZbin channel and now I’ve been waking up early to get a work out in and I’m starting to feel like my stamina is slowly coming back. Thank you for providing these workouts for free and making them accessible. Looking forward to the long term journey. 😊

I found you last year around my birthday. I have been wanting to start working out after I gave birth to my second son in 2021. I night weaned him and my weight just skyrocketed as if I was 3rd trimester pregnant. I found other KZbinrs before you but they were already super fit. I'm so glad I found you because you are relatable. We are both moms trying to find ourselves again after giving birth. I have been doing your KZbin workouts since then. Just few days ago my dad told me that I looked like I have lost some weight. It's true! I lost around 7-8 kg already doing only your workouts plus taking care of my nutrition. Some days I do the 20 minutes exercises but mostly the 10 minutes ones. But the point is being consistent. Ahh I want to give you a hug! Thank you so much Jo!

Honey!!! You spoke to me!!! After my hysterectomy (in Dec 2021) I absolutely didn't feel like myself. On top of all the physical changes, including the weight gain, I also developed high blood pressure, scaring the crap out of me when I tried to resume my workouts and passed out. I created a wall and became scared of physical activity. But I want to be there for my future grandchildren so I figured life out. I do weights and yoga in the morning and workout to your videos and pool exercises in the evenings. I'm not where I want to be, but I'm making progress. I can finally walk normally (from back surgery in 2019), I have energy, and my blood pressure is finally going down. Thank you for your channel.

I am 27 and haven’t had kids yet and my biggest fear is the gaining weight part, not even the pain or sicknesses that come with it. Watching this made me much more okay with it though thank you. It’s as if I “forgot” it’s possible to be a beginner multiple times lol. I think people don’t realize that

Yeah, don't let your fear of gaining weight keep you from having kids. And don't rush to lose it. Let your body heal. It took about a year and a half for my body to get back normal. But every woman is different. Some it's less or more time. Once you figure out what works for you and you put in the effort you'll lose the weight. 😊❤ And I was 35 when I had my first. 37 with my second.

Wow your birthing experience is amazing. I am 72 amd just recently, about 3 years ago I lost 70 pounds after getting diverticulitis. I was so out of shape. My daughter passed away in 2017 after a 10 year battle with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She had had three beautiful children and she didn't want to leave them. I am so proud of her. I was quite heavy, around 220 pounds. Thank you for telling us your story. I was in 30+ hours of delivery but I was able to have a vaginal delivery. I was 20. I am the mother if 4 children. God blessed me by allowing me to find your videos. I just started walking with you. Its a great workout and I find myself smiling while I'm walking because I see your beautiful smile. Gid bless you!

Whew, girl! I really committed to a fitness journey a few years ago and was doing great. Then, I started having health issue and weight gain. Found out I had borderline tumors and needed 3 surgeries in a year, one fully open stomach surgery. I have a 10 inch scar on my belly and several other small scars. When I say I’ve been at my low, I mean it. Losing this weight and getting back to working out has been SOOOO hard. I’m going to try to do what you have said and just make small improvements. This brought me to tears. I'm 53. I lost my mom in 2019 and hit menopause hard right after. in 2021 my husband died suddenly. I've had to start my whole life over, and depression hit. I'm working on me again. it's been almost 3 years. I gained weight from the sadness and depression. In my 30's I was kickboxing and in the best shape of my life, but eventually hurt my hip. Just did your 2mi walk with weights and I love it. I can do your workouts and I know this will help my mind and body. thank you for being so honest and inspiring

My second was quicker but traumatic and left me with the perfectly put words you mentioned of wearing a “suit”. -Dang. Just saying that couldn’t be more raw. Feeling like I am so far away from where I was/where I want to be has been one of the hardest mental battles. The guilt and shame of once being thin and very fit weighs on me a lot. Because of eating disorders, depression, and anxiety, I went from underweight to overweight very quickly and nothing inside or out feels like me anymore, like I'm inside a suit I can't take off. I beat myself up for it and blame myself and it worsens the depression. I feel like I'm at the bottom of a mountain that I have no hope of ever climbing. When you said we're not beginners just once in our lives, but several times, that actually made me tear up a little. It took some of that pressure I put on myself off. Like, maybe it's ok that I can't exercise for hours like I used to anymore right now. Maybe it's ok to just do what I can for now. Thank you for your inspiring video. Our journeys are different but you've shared that no matter what you're going through you just keep trying. I think I'll try to do a workout today, even if it's small and short

I have jumped back in two weeks ago and been doing one -two of your workouts and a mommy pouch workout 6 days a week. I’m so happy to have found you. I’m currently 26 and have been through 2 missed miscarriages within a year. The 2nd one being just last month. I lost 50+ pounds before I got married and pregnant with my daughter (currently 2). I did NOTHING to lose it, didn’t eat healthy and was so mean to myself. After my 2nd miscarriage, I was done. I needed to treat myself better. I needed to be better, if not for me, for my daughter and hopefully another baby in the future. I started working out, eating better after I got the OK from my doctor and I feel so much better. It’s only been a little under a month but I’m down 15 pounds with the help of your videos. Your videos allowed me to LOVE working out again. Thank you so much for sharing your story and inspiring us in so many ways. I look forward to more videos and connecting with you that all these other moms are doing as well.
