I would have Forsberg instead of Arvidsson on the list. I think Debrincat, Gaudreau and Marner are each few spots too high. And my top 4 would be: 1. Kucherov 2. Kane 3. Ovechkin 4. Marchand Theese are just few things I disagreed with, but it's okay to have different opinions.

next year sure, but I think Shannon got them right for this season. Pasta did have issues this season that were very evident especially in the lofts. Panarin is one that I have a hard time rating for a few reasons, but watching him play I really don't think he is quite at that elite level that starts at around 8 or 9 and between Debrincat and Landeskog idk who you bump down. That being said he is absolutely a top talent in this league, the problem is there are just so many top talents right now.

I completely agree. I’ve seen people saying kucherov is the best player in the game, without contextualizing the fact that he plays on the most stacked line on the most stacked team in the league. Kane has Towes, but there is no solid 3rd linemate like Point for TB. When Kane turns it on he can just will wins. There is a reason the hawks are the most recent dynasty and the bolts get knocked out early every year, they’re missing that grit.

As a Blackhawks fan I am thankful someone else sees Panarin for what he is. He is an amazing goal scorer but as Columbus and Chicago both saw, he gets pushed off the puck when it gets physical. Congratulations on him getting paid but I’m not sure the Rangers, in the metro, will not get roughed up.

Honorable mention to Tomas Hertl. 77GP 35 goals 39 apples for 74 points. He also had 57 take aways and lots of hits. Played a mix of wing and center this year and hes young still not reached his peak. He is a great physical power forward.

He's not inconsistent though. The only times he's been inconsistent was the 2017-18 season (when he was injured) and the first half of this past season (when he was recovering from that injury). He has the 5th-most goals in the entire league over the past three seasons even while have two "down years." That's not inconsistency, that's amazing, and it's an absolute crime to rank him out of the top 10, maybe even the top 5.

Shannon, there have been so many times when I've watched your Top 'fill in the blank' vids and I've argued with you on my screen most of the whole vid. This time, I've disagreed a place or two, but mostly I agree and find points in your reasoning that I can't argue with. What makes me really happy is your pick for number one. I get so worn out by fans (even of the Blackhawks) who will say, "He's good, but...." Some of your evaluations of Blackhawk players has made me wonder if you've watched enough of their games. Bill Gringo yeah, still hard to argue Toews is underrated though, he got into the top 100 all time and Malkin didn’t and I think most people would argue he’s not better than Malkin even though Toews is really really good and deserves all the praise he gets

Tim, Hall was hurt, he thinks PPaarin will regress back to his career averages and you will have to rewatch to see why he had Giroux so low. But he this Debrincat will be close to a 50 goal scorer

I realize this is opinion based, but in my opinion, it needs a reorder. Tarasenko seems to be one of the most overlooked players in the league. It's a crime for anyone to have him outside of the top 10. He has the 5th-most goals in the league over the past three seasons (one of which he was injured), and the 3rd-most over the past five years. That's not inconsistency, it's incredible. 1. Kane 2.
