Meg, My husband heard me commenting on your Green Stalks. I've been wanting Greenstalks for years but timing wasn't right. My husband went in our bedroom, and grabbed his credit card. Came out to the kitchen and said happy mothers day....order yourself 2 Green Stalks, and 2 spinner bases. I placed an order for 2, and can't wait to get them. Thank you for the discoumt code.

A tip on the greenstalks.... I HOPE you guys don't mind me giving you tips. I really like helping make it easier on people. I took mine apart last year and didn't pay any attention to those little watering things in the middle of each one of the planting things. Some of my holes aren't getting water because those tiny holes in each tier of watering is stopped up with soil. So when I redo it I gotta clean out those little holes.

When I was setting up my greenstalks this weekend I kept getting pestered by some punkies, what we northerners call those soil gnats that emerge early in spring. They love to divebomb your face while working in the garden. After about 10 minutes of swatting, I grabbed a few leaves for lemon balm and rubbed it over my face, releasing that citrusy oil. Never had another punky after that. Remembered doing it last year to keep the mosquitoes off me while picking beans. Lemon balm is a bully, being a member of the mint family, but it sure has a great plus side in pest control. Buggy is adorable!

Potatoes in the Greenstalk! What a great idea!! Also, I've grown African Blue Basil for years. The bees love it, and it gets huge, like 3ftx3ft..so you may want to put it in your garden. Lavender hates to be watered, because it's Mediterranean. I've killed it for years, and now ignore it, and it does great! I actually found a cilantro that did great in my SC heat! I'd be happy to send you some seeds if you want to give it a try there.

I too have a hard time with cilantro and one year thought, i love having house plants, maybe i can try and grow cilantro inside. Get yourself a good growlight...not the kind for starts, i have a powerful bulb i use for my indoor plants, and just got another one for herbs i grow inside. I have them in my window seal in my kitchen, but dont get enough light, so i added the bulb which is on 13 hours. So now i can have cilantro year round. Also works for chives, and other stuff too, but here in eastern NC, i never seen to have long enough cool weather that is just right for cilantro, so indoor ut goes.

Thank you for showing how to plant the greenstalk! I just got my first one for Christmas this year! It’s the pretty blue one and I am excited to start planting in it this year! Your herbs and strawberries look amazing! Love seeing Buggy help her mama plant! You’re raising another little gardener! Love Spring for all the fun things we get to plant!
