What kind of earnings can you expect in your first few months or your first year selling low content books on Amazon KDP? I can tell you what I learned in my first year of low content book publishing and the royalties that I earned each month. I hope that this will motivate you and show you what is possible.

Publishing on KDP is an organic process, just keep uploading quality books, and sooner or later Amazon will pick up your books and provide you with extra income on autopilot. And... never worry about negative reviews 😉Thanks for sharing 🙏💖

It's so nice to learn from someone who isn't hyping up the speed of creation earnings and earnings. So many people are giving unrealistic expectations and charging thousands of dollars for courses that could take years to recoup if at all. My aim is to create books I want on my nightstand. Hopefully other people will want them too.

Thanks so much for this, Nuria. I've only been placing books on Amazon for a little over a month and am disappointed that I'm not doing better. Whenever I feel a bit discouraged, I watch this and remember it takes time to build anything of quality. I've had several businesses during my lifetime and 4-5 years is when several finally took off and became successful. So far I've published one Breast Cancer Memoir and about 12 low content books. I do remember your words. Quality over Quantity. A must for any business. Thanks again. Oh...now working on creating my first audiobook (I am the narrator.). Having fun doing all of this, despite the HUGE learning curve.

Your journey sounds similar to mine! Don't ever get discouraged, you have achieved a lot already. As you say, this business takes time and in a way, what we do now, will pay off later.

Yes, but Nuria also said in another video that quantity comes in at the beginning in order to learn the process and be able to see which books work and which do not, which might mean which are quality and which are not. Kind of difficult to do quality consistently when we learn. Nuria said that her earlier books were not that great.

I thought I was doing something wrong as I had only had $13 in sales in my first month.. but then upon reviewing some channels like this for some tips, I've learned I'm just impatient and lucky lol You have a great voice and it's nice hearing your honesty while I post stuff before a watching a movie, this kind of work is definitely my jam :) good luck to everyone else out there!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't made any sales yet, but it really isn't unusual at the beginning. Try changing your niches or covers, always try new strategies until you find the one that works for you. Good luck, I know you will achieve this.

Great to see your Journey Nuria - I had quite a first year as well. Like you, I also had one book take off and it's been my best seller ever since that first Q4! I do also now have other books that are getting closer to it, in terms of sales and reviews. I think there is somewhat of a snowball effect -- the amount of reviews I got during November/December seem to have helped a lot. My best month ever was $136 in January 2023. I still have some purchases here and there, but like 5-20 bucks a month. I only have 16 books and did not create any new one since 2022.

I commented back in February with only a few months of KDP publishing under my belt. Sold a few books here and there. Now, it's May and I am happy to say that each day gets better and better. Yesterday, I sold 15 of one book I created. the other day, I sold 20 of it. Plus other books as well. Many books are now selling that weren't. It will be interesting to see what happens now that summer is coming. I do recall you saying that this can be a slow time, so I am prepared. What will I do? Create some great Fall books! I published my first low content (a daily journal) book on KDP on 14-th January this year, followed by another low content book, a coloring book and a travel book with beautiful photos. So, there are 4 books till now, and I work now at a second volume of that coloring book for children and adults as well. So far, no income, no sell! I was nearly to give up, before watching your video, but now I consider to think a little bit the next few days... Mean time, I began a little digital design photos on Print on Demand web sites (Spring, Printify), but with nou sales, so far... July and August are traditionally NON SALES month unless you are specifically in an industry that caters to 'summer' somehow. Those two months are all about travel and going back to school. I've been selling on ebay/amazon for 20 years now and it's always been that way.

I know it’s not all about the quantity of books, but I’m curious to get some kind of ballpark for my personal goals. How many notebooks and how many other low-content books did you start with and how many did you have by the end of the year? I want to make a personal goal for myself to see if this is worth it but I don’t think you said how much time you spent or how many books you made. I just want some kind of range if you can.
