Simply, somebody made a video a while back stating that 'cute' was a very popular keyword, good to include in your titles/subtitles, thus all the 'cute' nonsense! Paul Marles might not agree with your title. He says it should be very short, no fluff, it should only be what people will type in search of a book, two or three words max which should be keywords. So yes, I think he would favor 'Mileage Logbook' because nobody will type creative, pretty, fluffy words in the search bar. But Sean Dollwet says Amazon algorhythm has changed and favors 'pretty titles'...... Who knows??? I wish people kept it clear, concise and stopped cloning their titles on various covers, all they do is competing against their own books, basic keyword 101! Good video, thanks.

Hi, I've got my title and subtitle ready for my book also got my cover ready, and I have included my title on the book cover as exactly I put it in the title box. My question is, it necessary to have subtitle on the book cover or just leave it in the subtitle box? As far I've seen, most of the authors do like this, just title on cover not subtitle. If you could let me know with correct info, I'll be really grateful to you. Btw, it's my first book on KDP so, I'm making sure everything's good what I'm doing.

Thanks for the video and your very creative ideas of how to name books in unusual and un-boring ways! 🤩 What I'm not getting though is this: isn't the title and subtitle and everything that's in them THE most valuable keywords to guide potential Amazon customers to our product and shouldn't our titles and subtitles therefore match the typical keywords these customers type into their searches? What I mean is that no matter how creative it sounds and much it stands out against the rest, I simply cannot imagine someone wanting to buy a mileage logbook to type into their search something other than "mileage log", but instead use words like "road warrior's mileage journal" 🤔 Another thing I kept hearing is that the title should only consist of the very words that appear on the cover of our book (journal/notebook etc) and nothing else. And a third thing that keeps confusing me is that to me (and to Amazon it seems) journals and notebooks are interchangeably used for books with various covers that contain empty lined or dotted or otherwise ruled pages. You seem to make a difference here between journals and notebooks, if I understand it correctly?

Yes, if you have a look at my income report videos, my sales have actually increased since I made better titles. People are too stuck on keywords, which are important, but from a customer's perspective, they want to see a professional book that hasn't a keyword stuffed title. You can put your main keywords in the title and others in the 7 keyword slots.

Many people do this, and I'm one of them. We stuff many keywords in the title and subtitles because titles rank better than the back end keywords. My question is, if we put only keywords in 7 slot, will our books rank as well as if we put them in the title and subtitle? ❤❤❤❤❤

Keywords in titles and subtitles have the most weight, but the 7 keyword slots also help to rank your books, so it's super important to make sure you follow all the rules. I spell everything in UK English as that is where I live... I don't think it makes any difference. Americans and English people don't mind the spelling and will buy a book regardless. This all sounds lovely except I am wondering if your examples are keywords, either single or long tailed. I believe that is what most sellers are trying to accomplish, that is placing keywords in the title and sub-title so that their books can be found. I'm a little confused at this point. It's awesome to have a beautifully worded and descriptive title and sub-title, but if people aren't searching for that, how can they find your book?
@TheHomeBoss Жыл бұрын
You use your best keywords in the title and subtitle, but you also have your 7 keyword slots that you can use, so if a keyword just doesn't sound right in the title, you enter it in the keyword slots. If you can use a keyword in the title, so much the better, but what I'm seeing is repetitive keyword stuffing and Amazon are cracking down on that.
@DailyJokesChannel Жыл бұрын
@@TheHomeBossThe tips are great and it would be ideal to create your titles and subtitles like this, but the problem is that your book will never be found because no one will search for it in this way. Selling a book with low or medium content is not the same as selling a novel. Just as you can't fill the subtitle of a fiction book with keywords, you can't put a fanciful title for a simple notebook. And people describe their cover in the title to be discovered if someone is specifically searching for that type of model, even if you can "see" that cover as a customer yourself. Moreover, the keywords in the seven slots are not as "powerful" as those in the title and subtitle (unfortunately).

What about combining singular and plural forms of words in a title and subtitle? For example: nouns (plural) then noun (singular). Do you think that would be good?
