Have you seen any good products that combine the microcurrent with red light to save time?
@thehonestchannel6 күн бұрын
@@sharonthehuman5954 I did a video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXXHkKeOlNmXq5Y showing my mum's results from a Maysama device which combines the two.

Great talk! Thank you Clare. The public needs more education like this on the chemistry of skincare. Love the comment comparing the use of alcohol vs skincare - how ridiculous and completely contradictory people can be to complain or be scared by a preservative or what have you in any skin product yet they’ll consume appalling amounts of alcohol or smoke! (Two of the most toxic chemicals out there) without a second thought. Such nonsense 😣.

Would love to know what skincare products Fiona Tuck uses as honestly tried just about everything possible but nothing firms my skin .
@naightengale1019 күн бұрын
I would have liked to hear the guest address the cumulative effect of absorbing these products through the skin over 10, 20 or 30 years of daily use. There is a reason that some chemicals are subbed out for newer chemicals after some time, due to new found research.
@thehonestchannel9 күн бұрын
We don’t have much long-term data around the cumulative effects but I agree it’s an important point.
@CherylBerryl9 күн бұрын
Exactly! It's Not just the small amount of preservative in One or two products, but the cumulative affect of MANY products used with these chemicals in them, over Long Periods of time; and the interactions of these chemicals together. That's the Real issue here.
@thehonestchannel8 күн бұрын
@The interactions haven’t been studied - a little like supplements - so we can only really talk speculatively around that and I’m not sure how helpful that is right now.
@wendyfrech78638 күн бұрын
@@thehonestchannel this is an excellent point that you make. And also the cumulative effect has to take into consideration that chemicals are absorbed, but they are also excreted. The question would then be what chemicals would remain in the tissues, bloodstream, etc. and does that have a negative effect?

Thank you for a really interesting video. I love that you talk with experts who have both knowledge and experience. There are so many channels with influencers who push products that they are sponsored for without having any real insight into the product or what kind of skin it would suit. Fiona is so right about experience. You literally cannot teach someone experience - it is time served. I’m so pleased that the journalist in you is ever present. Great stuff. ❤

Do at home radio frequency machine lead to fat loss? I've been using mine for 5 minutes to warm the skin after applying my serum and before my facial oil. Am I doing more harm than good? Would really appreciate a response. Thank you.
@thehonestchannel8 күн бұрын
@@gillmolony6781 When you’re heating skin to any significant extent and depth you can’t rule the risk out. From viewer feedback though, using a known brand device (which is regulated) rather than buying a cheap one from a less regulated country, shouldn’t have a lot of potential to melt fat. The good thing with home devices are results are gradual so you can see how your skin responds over time. They are way less powerful than the professional machines.

Fabulous and very insightful - using a Retin-A with a Rooibos Serum and HA night Cream, i also like my natural oils esp with my devices. Natural oils are always one of my favourites to use. Would loved to hear her perspective regarding devices, LED/Infrared and esp microcurrent...but overall one of the best interesting live chats - i do think our skin differs - i'm from South Africa, hot humidity climate, so when it's 45°C, i can't put anything on, i sweat it off, where as if i'm at the Coast my skin tends to be much more supple, even if i don't any cream/oil. I'm 52. 1:00:18

I think it's totally irresponsible for her to say she uses ultra processed personal care products and doesn't worry. That's like saying I eat ultra processed food and don't worry. Look at the mess that has got us into. She never once mentioned that using clean products might, might be better for us. That seems like a no-brainer to me. Let's face it we aren't meant to put all these chemicals etc on our bodies anyway so how could it possibly be good for us.
@thehonestchannel4 күн бұрын
What she actually says is that all skincare products are processed in some way and she uses oils and physical spf on her body to avoid using too many chemicals. It’s a sensible approach considering current evidence.
