i appreciate the fact that your guest focuses more on health, how u feel, how clothes fit etc as opposed to how one looks over 50 in a bathingsuit. yea, " i have it too". ❤

Hi Claire, have you tried rebounding? I have transformed my mind regarding regular exercise and my body is much fitter...(post meno) just in 3 months (15-20 mins a day). I've now got definition on my core and arms. My legs are better (less cellulite and face looks better). I absolutely love it.. It pumps your calf muscles which help the heart and drains my lymph system. I used to run a little but rebounding make you feel happier too. Hope this helps someone.

@@thehonestchannel Yeah it's brilliant, low impact on full body. I could never get into regular exercise before so it works for me. I love Dave Hall and the lovely twins from I jump instead do good work outs. 🙂

❤Great video ‼️ I know women complain about the bulky factor… But I’m 57 and that always seemed weird to me. I was a competitive swimmer from an early age and weight training was part of my sport, but I never bulked up and I was very strong. I guess I just always knew that it depends on the type of weight training a person does which may, or may not, produce bulk, and what your goals are. Again - thank you for debunking this weird theory out there. 💥 I love that someone is saying stop with the excuses… Wonderful!

Great video...😊 I seem to bounced back well after my pregnancy. It could be genetics. I know maintaining a good health and exercising is so important. I think it's a life style ...this is a very motivating video. .no matter how old you are...keep active...💛

Do you mind me asking at what age you started? I'm 63 and wish I'd started when I was younger. Not sure if starting late will make me more susceptible to dementia. It is on both sides of my family. Thank you. @@thehonestchannel

I am soon to be 58 on 31st December 2024, i think you are not taking on board genetics on board here! Ive been a fitness health related consultant nearly all my life! I have trained older adults, peopple with learning disabilities, carfiac rehab, respiratory rehab, childhood obesity children and i think it is mostly genetics. My aunty (who s never exercised) has the same skinny legs/bum as me. And the same weight gain (apple shape - tummy) as me! So this doesn't make sense 😮🙈💯🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

Hmmm, I’m not sure which part doesn’t make sense? We may be predisposed to be different body shapes but we can still build muscle, reduce body fat and become more toned.

Sorry but when someone says “stop with the excuses “ you have lost me ,that’s not excuses but reasons that are valid to that person.We need encouragement , not someone telling us we lack motivation .Don’t judge and say they have excuses that’s just belittling in my view and really triggering for me
@roughrosa
@roughrosa Ай бұрын
Hence it’s 2 different words of different meanings. If it’s the same, there’s no reason to call one as the other. To a person, it’s an excuse, to another it’s a reason. Both can be valid. For a person who wants to act it’s an excuse. To a person do not want to act upon it, it’s a reason. At the end, it’s not the motivation or encouragement, but a state of mentality. No amount of encouragement and motivation from someone else (sometimes even any push can be taken negatively), when a person is not having the awareness and ready to shift mentally. It’s about being honest to call it what it is - an excuse or a reason. Personally, I see an ‘excuse’ if it involves putting the work and breaking a sweat, but I see a ‘reason’ when it involves principles. When it defies a core principle of one, it’s a reason which is valid to that person.

@@thehonestchannel I have had an excuse or reson and that is illness. I have been in and out of hospitals and had surgery several times but as soon as I can I am back working out. After the first surgery I was back too soon and now my doctor is happy about my level of progress. I have an illness that will make me need surgery again. But as long as the doctors say I do well, not too much not too little then I have to be happy with that! Even if I wish I was in better condition.

Also I’ve found great results by doing Brandon Palmer videos on KZbin . He does stuff with or without hand weights. Some sitting -there are exercises for every level. I’ve been doing 3 times a week (there was a challenge) and after 2 full weeks my waist was so different. Yes, I’m thin and don’t want to loose weight, but these exercises work. He is also stressing a walk daily and eating whole food-not processed. The exercises are relatively easy.. done for 45 sec with 15 sec rest. If I find one I can’t do, I substitute one I can do and just keep going! He has had 5 minute days up to 30 minutes.. you pick which video. Anyway, if you need a kick start and some videos to follow, I highly recommend. FYI I’m 77 and he is a young trainer. The exercises can be done by all ages -the comments section is very positive.🩷
