Happy Birthday 🎉 I didn’t get to post my question but could you please do a video “reaction” or “opinion” on the view that it’s time to leave the U.K. There’s a video here on KZbin (amongst others) of economists etc encouraging those under 50 to seek greener economic pastures. You’ve covered some points but I personally think this could be a good/emotive topic especially for those struggling to become financially free in the U.K. Thanks in advance. Can relate to so much of this. Turning 38 this year. I backed myself in 2020 and started my own business, which has brought in over £650k revenue in 3 years with not many overheads. I've made mistakes with taxes and probably spent a little too much, but also learned so much to take forward. You're spot on about health & wellness into your 40s too. 20s was getting my career path right, 30s has been all about getting my money right (waaay better now than i was from 16-28), 40s is going to be about health. I've already quit smoking 3 years ago and now I haven't drank alcohol in 50 days. Life is a funny ride, but I'm feeling good about it now. Wife and I are combined with our finances too. Chasing freedom. True freedom. That's the goal.

I’m only 13 mins in and have found what you said incredibly valuable already. Im due to turn 30 next year so it’s really interesting to see your perspective having lived all of your 30s. The part about bosses is very relatable to me and has probably been the biggest cause of stress in my life in my 20s. I am only just starting to let go of the anger and frustration of bully bosses now that they have become completely insignificant in my life. It’s something that I never initially realised would cause me so much stress. It’s a learning curve though because now I’m fully aware of what to look out for when looking for a job but I’m also confident that I won’t take BS from a bully boss anymore

😂😂😂 Ken, that belly laugh regarding whether you will contribute more/work harder now that you're 40 - LOVED it! Honestly, I'm 100% with you - I'll be 36 in December and I have honestly worked my butt off my whole life. I took my education VERY seriously so even at aged 6-16, I would say I was hustling in order to pursue my current career path. All this to say that I have another 6-7 years of working hard to fully hit FIRE (currently already at Coast FIRE) and I will NOT be investing more money when I get there - I will be enjoying the fruits of my labour!!! 🥂

I don't think so unfortunately. They protect it from immigrants I believe. Could be wrong. Dubai, for example, is about 80% immigrants from what I'm told. I believe you have to marry an Emirati to get citizenship.
