Thank you for taking the time to talk about yourself Bee. We all care, and it makes us extremely happy to see you in the videos again! I've suffered depression for 40 years and work on it daily. I never think of it as I make my life too busy and happy to let it set in.

I love the way you formatted this video with the 2 of you moving around from here to there answering questions so that we could see the property and the barn. I'm so happy that you're not going to house your goats in that hot box for the summer. You both are so kind, I couldn't imagine that you would expect them to be in the horse trailer. And you're vegetarian. How wonderful to hear. I hope you're taking us to Iceland with you. Sending lots of love.

That hole above the stove should definitely be used by an exhaust for a kitchen hood. You want all that moisture, smoke, grease, etc to be vented out instead of staying in the house or covering the wood.

I've always wanted a summer kitchen, you have the perfect place for it. A wood cook stove outside. You haven't lived until you've had baked goods from a wood stove and with it being so warm in Portugal you'd keep the heat outside! I think you'd love it! ❤️

Beautifully done Q & A video! I love how many of your answers were right where you could Show the item in question! So creative! The Well is beautiful and I do not remember seeing it before.... The trees and lovely grass on your property show the reason you were attracted to it in the first place, to say nothing of the barn that is quickly becoming a very cozy home! I am not sure I have ever known a couple that works so well together and appear to agree on the artistic style so well. Thank you for sharing everything you bring to us! :)

Do you ever regret not winning the property in Alaska? I personally think you're better off in Portugal. (I also live in Portugal, so I may be biased). 😜 But your property also seems WAY more habitable than the other. Alaska would be nice to visit, and a beautiful place to do a reality show. But I think long term living that far off the beaten track would have been pretty intense.

The holes in the stone wall would look nice if you find 2 glass bottles or jars and cut them and join the 2 together end to end and fit then in the whole still giving you light. You can trial it before you decide.

Bea, here is a great recipe for gluten-free rolls that have that nice “bread” texture and are so easy. Brazilian Cheese Bread 1 egg 1/4 cup olive oil 2/3 milk (nut/oat milks work) 1.5 cup tapioca flour 1/2 cup cheddar cheese 1/2 tsp salt Preheat oven to 400F. Grease a muffin pan. Combine all ingredients in a blender, pulse until well blended, scraping down the sides as needed. Pour into the muffin, divide evenly between all. Bake for about 20 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes, serve immediately. 🙂

I'm in Northern Australia. I have rooftop solar - 6 kWh. 24 panels. But no battery - I'm grid feed. I run air-conditioning, a pool filter and a washer/dryer combo unit. My last power bill was a $49 credit!. During a Northern Australia summer!. My house is also well insulated. I find that I don't need the Ac during the day, I can get by on fans with open doors & windows. Even some nights I can do sans ac, just the fan. The biggest cost with solar is if you want battery storage for nights/cloudy days.

I seems to me that the Barn is quite insignificant when you step into the rustic beauty you have created. It takes my breath away to see all your creative ideas and mastery in the incredible home you have made. I think it would be awesome to rename your home to a much more fitting name as it certainly is not a barn anymore. 🏡🌞🛋

Hi guys I love your videos...your my favorite. I wanted to share with you about my solar system. I'm a 56 year old single female who did a lot of research. I wanted to try living off grid in Florida. It worked and I had an air conditioner, fridge, microwave," limited use" only when it was sunny or had plenty of battery power. But it worked great!! I used the 3000 growatt all in one system. I paid about $700 for that it works amazing...highly recommend it. It is capable of allowing my generator to charge the batteries if need be. But most of the time I didnt have to. I had six 320 watt solar panels that kept my system toped off. I had a total of 8 solar panels. The other two typed off my portable eco deltas. One panel for each delta. It worked great as I had one in my camper and one in the cabin. They are only about $800 and could run a blow dryer, microwave, pretty much whatever I needed. Also I wired a 30 amp plug on my cabin to plug my RV into. This system would run my window air conditioning and my RV air conditioning. If it was sunny...no problem. Of course the batteries is where the expense was. I had three 100 amp hour lithium plug and use. That was $2600 all together I paid about $6000 U.S. The batteries are where to put your money. That will make the most difference for you. Great to see you guys doing so well. God Bless You all ..I'm praying for you both and your animals.

So many questions answered! One suggestion is to elevate that wee refrigerator. Getting down on the floor on hands and knees to see what’s in the back gets harder and more annoying as you get older. Love all your projects. 🌺

Bee, I think it's a wonderful idea to do a video on how you have dealt with depression and mental health. It's a world wide issue that effects millions of people and not all deal with it the same way. Your experience and and insight just may help someone. Have fun on your trip and I look forward to your next video.

I always so look forward to your videos. You have been my favorite from even the v-dub days. Worst? Maybe when you were broken into in Spain. Or when Bee got hit by depression. Was really worried about you. Best...perhaps the Bears seen from the shelters in (I forget what country) hard to pick a "best"....so many.

Thanks Theo and Bee. You could power a 5 gallon water machine (delivers boiling, room temp or chilled ) for purified water. Awesome. Enjoy Iceland
