One of my High School Teachers was a Tunnel Rat in Vietnam. He only told me cuz I told him about my 5 grandpa's who all signed up to enlist during that conflict. My X country coach used to get sick until he told me He was in a Tank Unit during the 1st Persian Gulf war and he got that Illness from them burning those Oil Fields. Never know who has done what. Respect to All Those Men We don't get to hear about.

You say that but the BF109 had a 30mm nose cannon and that was in 1935.

@@torinjones3221 no the BF-109 e" Emil" didn't have canons, and that was the model available pre-war. Later model would have a 20 mm canon and 2 rocket tubes. The FW-190 had (2) 20 mm cannons in addition to the standard MG Calibre. The ME-262 however, was armed with (4) 30 mm Cannon s and rocket tubes.

When I was at High school we were taught by a really mild mannered Technical Drawing teacher. Us kids never really took this guy seriously - and I mean this guy had super quiet manner- never got got flustered or angry. Anyway ,one day I was watching a documentary on RAF Beaufighters absolutely smashing stuff in the North Sea during WW2. And ...there he was - our Tech Drawing teacher - he was one of the main leading pilots. I was totally gob smacked...there he was with the same quiet manner smashing anything German in the North Sea. Say what???. I was super impressed - being taught by a true WW2 Hero...wow!
