Dr. Brown is delving into interesting topics which show that Islam is not just a motto, but a way of life that requires knowledge and patience. I believe the topic deals with "Maqassid al-shariaa" ( the purpose and goal of shariaa law). So impressive! Thank you for sharing

Thankyou Dr Brown, may Allah bless you and your family.. Btw, whenever Dr Brown mentioned a region called ACEH he never mentioned the country, .. so FYI.. Aceh is one of the 34 provinces in Indonesia which is the largest Muslim country in the world ..

I wonder..how someone like him.. I mean a native British..so knowledgeable..even speaks arabic..or at least underdtand it well..well verses. Salute.. I m not sure whats his latest book "Misquoting Muhammad "s.a.w is all about. But Prof Bart Ehraman book is Misquoting Jesus..we know that..the problem wth biblical scripture..but wht is misquptin muhammad s.a w he means..?

He is not native british. He's an American. His book Misquoting Muhammad saw deals with historical intrepetation of Hadith, its challenges, how it was understood then, how the hadith scholars past & present intrepets it by balancing reason and revelation. He did not challenge the validity of Hadith per se nor the preservation of Hadith.

mashallahhh.clearly islam is for universal above all the ever changing cultures.cultures is for pleasure. islam is for all und above dimensions of pleasure. islam gives guides and law for us to live this temporary dunyya.we must leave this dunyya as a strong servant of Allah swt .we must leave dunyya as winners and be able to bring back our souls as believers to Allah swt laws und orders. we submit with smile...for we know where we going. inshallah.

The examples he is making about American Law and Culture is quite extreme. He is not making any relevant examples. Or he is not pointing out the examples because it would make his point irrelevant.
