I like the trans-reflective screen for the unlit view If I want a quick look at the time. But once the screen is lit up for actual use, it's no where near as nice as an amoled screen. I have the amazfit bip but I just ordered the gtr as a replacement.

I have the Pace and also the Bip. Even though the Pace is a nicer watch overall, I find the Bip more usable with it's Apple watch-like form factor and super light weight. I wish they would make a successor to the Bip. [Edit] Just saw that they have released the Amazfit GTS in China, which is what I was looking for! Now the wait for the international version.

Watch looks really good. I agree with the square face comments too, they just don't sit well with me. After becoming increasingly dissatisfied with my Gen 3 Fossil watch, the Amazfit has been on my radar as a low cost alternative. Great vid Iz.

I like the looks of the smaller watch better. My concern is how it works with iOS. Can I download extra watch faces using iOS, or is that feature geared towards Android users only? Also, for me, I need a watch that performs sleep tracking well. Does this track all of the sleep stages; REM, light, deep, and awake? Many times I awake during the night, and so far Fitbit offers the best when it comes to sleep tracking, but their watches are old technology. Mahalo.

GTR has the same strap size as Stratos and Pace. 22mm. So you can use your box of straps for GTR too. :)

Since pace is around 80-90 euros and GTR, Stratos are in similar price range, which one would you get (out of the 3) if you were to buy a watch?

It depends. Pace and Stratos have internal storage (2gb) so you can play music(through bluetooth earphone) directly from your watch. It helps when you want running without bringing smartphone. If you just want casual smartwatch with high resolution display, then go to GTR. I really like the GTR design though. I might buy GTR soon. I hope they make WearOS version of GTR 😅.

GTR 42mm is smaller so common sense it's 20mm for strap width while 47mm is quite big so it's strap width is 22mm.

These "fitbit" style smart watches will never replace dedicated running/cycling watches and computers, I feel like they are just gimmicks for people that casually workout or want to count steps thinking it'll help them lose weight. They measure "heart rate" from your wrist, which isn't particularly accurate and use phones for the GPS. You end up carrying all manner of devices when you're exercising. Also, if you're serious about exercise, running or cycling outside in winter/all weathers shouldn't be a problem for you.

Amazfit products uses same Sony GPS chips as Garmin watches, for example.

Also be best not applying that as a blanket statement. I own the Stratos, has onboard GPS and GLONASS and the ability to connect a Bluetooth Chest HRM should I need it. It's not too dissimilar in spec to a Forerunner 645, obviously for a cheaper price it does miss some of the features.
