We tend to think that the slaves that entered through ship were W African, by blood; however....it is WELL documented that MOST of my ppl in the US that were on that ships...wound up on the W coast of Africa after running/chased through the continent from the Congo area. So, yes....we do look alike because MOST of us are FROM this region. We were only SOLD on the W coast of Africa; we were the "stranger" among the natives of that coast...

So it's only appropriate to acknowledge the seed of Africa came from them and it was buried deep within them, and its a full circle. They birthed a reconnection to their roots, and their truly a chosen people, carriers of reawakening who birthed the light back into the motherland ( mothership). @BJ-eg6gr11 ай бұрын
@@IAmNOTTHEBODY My friend, I'm not going to waste my time with your kind of talk. You know exactly who I'm talking about. Other nations have their heritage represented and celebrated else where. Remember when South Africa was hosting the Brics nations? The honorable prime minister Narendra Modi of India had a side meeting with what they call 'Indian diaspora'. Indians are not confused, they know what they are. They are Indians who are citizens of a African country. As for white people I refer you to their life style. There is nothing wrong with being a European with a citizenship of an African Country. Idris Elba is not European but British. In other words, Idris is a British national who is not European/White. I don't know why I'm talking about this. I guess we as Africans around the world need to get our house in order. We need to talk more to one another, exclusively about each other. When I see an African individual (young or old) I show love immediately. It stats with me and it starts with us ( Africans) and then other nations who are also made in God's image.

Beautiful family. The malls make SA very luxurious. Even small towns that are very far from big cities all have malls. in SA people don't really flock to the big cities for shopping because everything is there in their local malls. besides the big malls, there are shopping centers all over that houses supermarkets that open for more hours than those in big malls. Like Soweto has more than 7 big malls and many smaller shopping centers.

Welcome to South Africa Mama and Baba. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I hope you will come back again and again. I couldn’t help to laugh listening to your experience on the roads here. Best advice is expect the absolute worst from taxis and delivery services that way you can’t be surprised by anything they do. I am an old white lady and curtesy towards taxis always get you a smile and a wave. Also if you understand how many passengers they have to get to work and back home one can appreciate the way they drive. I do hope that you will travel the rest of our beautiful country to really appreciate how beautiful SA truly is. ❤

LOL gog' Benita, there is nothing to appreciate about taxis 😅. We love them when they break the rules though to get us to work on time

Benita, perfectly said! Expect the worse! Be nice to them and you will be ok! Welcome to you mom and dad! We love you guys so much! 😀 Oh and the biggest biker gang in South Africa is Checkers Sixty60!!! ;-)

@@mariemieny5100😂you are so right about the biker gang but what shall we do without them. They make life so easy for us. Living the busy life means that I can not always do my shopping in time and within the hour my groceries are delivered to my doorstep. 😊

My first time watching one of your videos and I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Your dad looks like he belongs in SA...he could be a uncle of mine. As a South African who spent 10 years living in the Middle East and now being back in Cape Town, I just love seeing my country through the eyes of other expats moving here. Next time bring your parents to Cape Town! Oh and tell your mom....NOBODY like the way taxi's take over the road and how lawless they are.....LOL! God Bless you and your family!

this was so heartwarming, i felt it when mom started to get emotional. i get so excited when i see african americans visit home and trully feel welcomed. i dont care how travelled you are, but as a person with melanin, you will never be loved as much as you are loved here, i just saw a video on ashleys channel, she went to kzn this christmas and seeing her with her host family, she just looked like one of the daughters. visit home guys, we love you
