After learning some judo throws and joint locks, months later, my teacher shows us something that is neither, and calls it a pin. Having a brother that is a wrestler, I thought to myself “We have pins in judo?” And this is the best video I’ve found. Thanks!

Yeah, it's an interesting component of Judo...especially the duration that you have to hold for. I love osaekomi waza.

Yeah, Uki Gatame is one of my favourite holds, but it's from such a specific point, it can be a lot of work to get there when other holds often present themselves much "easier".
