Honestly, this is why i think us Newcastle fans get slaped with the whole 'deluded' thing. Before the takeover we were going down into football oblivion. Newcastle fans know that what Howe achieved from us going certain relegation - Champions League qualification within one season knows he’s earned our respect. We know a squad with Lascelles, Ritchie, Almiron, Dummett, etc as our bench is not good enough, and it’s going to take a long long long time before we’ll be able to bring the likes of top class strikers off the bench like Alvarez off for whenever Haaland gets a bit tired. We’re a million miles off Man City in terms of players, and you can’t blame Howe for doing amazing with the limited amount he has.

I’m afraid I disagree with a lot of what’s being said. Entitled to this opinion of course, but this is very short memory stuff. You can’t ignore one reality. Almiron, Longstaff and Burn were massive in attaining not just Champions League but a cup final. I’ll admit they’re not world beaters, but they’re not Championship players. I’d put them as solid premier league players under Howe. You can’t let Bruce distort that. After all, Longstaff was playing well under Rafa too. We rejected a 50 mill bid for him from Man U at the time. Far too simplistic and dismissive to me 🤷‍♂️

The sheer volume of injuries AND the position of the players injured. Anderson, willock, tonali, Joelinton in midfield. Barnes, Isak, Wilson, Murphey upfront. What i will say is that i think eddie could have been more brave with the youngsters to give some of the first team a rest. On the subject of Livramento dont forget he is just back from a year out. You have to give him some rest.

They've lost to teams who have poorer players and have spent a lot less there's no excuse for that. Imo Howe shouldn't be sacked but neither should Ten Haag who Brian has slammed. I do think both teams to get to the next level there's a possibility that both get sacked.

Another difference is Newcastle are underperforming their expected points and have been unlucky, whereas Man Utd have managed to pick up points whilst playing awfully. Check the expected points table for example - Newcastle 5th, Man Utd 13th!! And that's before mentioning the strength in depth of the squads.

With the injury situation that just shows that Newcastle as a club and fanbase aren’t ready to be one of the top clubs in Europe. When you’re at the top level you basically have to use your full strength team twice a week. All the top teams have to deal with injuries. As a Liverpool fan I’d love to cry about how we’re gonna be without Salah, szoboszlai, Thiago, Matip for the league cup final. But you just have to deal with it

BDB is awesome. No time for moaners. Definitely a prem player. Brings so much to the team. Opposition are setting up for counter attacks so he is on the receiving end unfairly. We're losing possession in the middle too easily which we weren't last season, so we're setting up these foot races. The problem will go away when we have players back and bench to rotate.

Eddie Howe's in-game management has cost us, and will cost us many a game if he doest start to be 'proactive,' instead of being 'reactive', when making substitutions. I, e, it took us to become 4-2 down against Luton, until he made the swithch to take off D. Burn, & bring on Tino Livremento. It was obvious from the start that he was getting skinned for pace, yet, as above 4 goals, 'reactive' Eddie makes the change. What worries me is hes not learning from this . I fear it will happen again. As all Nufc, even Brighton, fans will tell you. Eddie Howe has his favourites !

Respectfully, Eddie isn't struggling. He's hit a very predictable rough patch, sure. But to say he's struggling is ignorance of the facts. We massively over achieved last season and that gave us a difficult season this year by overstretching us. It was bound to happen. You can't have an amazing season time after time without 115 charges for ffp breaches. We are in the middle of a rebuild, we need some of our lesser players contracts to run out to make room for new ones and amanda herself said, it's a 5-10 year project.
