Funny that 1v1s were mentioned in this video. Decided to Join Arco's Rivertown, fixed speed blitz, auto 1v1 with 4 expert bots Rivertown tourney that was for fun today. Ended up being my first tournament final! Like you say, better lucky than good!

It was an anyone can join thing held in the GM Arena. One of the new Mini Events. I think they are planning to do more fairly frequently, so hopefully you can join one in the future. Not sure it would make a great video though. Arco will be uploading a 4 minute video on the tournament lmao.

With the settings we have, I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that you're right on neutral > expert/hard in progressive world dom and caps (not zombies or fixed). For me the dream would be that the bot has a turn or two to roll off of its cap and then become neutral. The flaw in that would obviously be scumbag bot-returning. But I think it's important to hold onto and talk openly about our dreams for Risk. Just because I think SMG are doing a poor job of it doesn't mean that Risk cannot and will not get better with enough minds committed to making it so.

pink needed to apply more pressure to green whilst you were going into purple. him not doing that allowed green to catch back up with his NA and SA hold to eventually overtake him and dominate when purple put all of their troops into you. I think to have prevented this from happening you should not have raised against an overly aggressive purple and instead let him draw attention to himself from the other players.
