I had a increadible win once on this map with almost the same settings (world dom instead of capitals). I had no trade on 4, blue tried to kill me, but didn't find my last troop which was hidden behind black. I traded in, killed black, snowballed on the rest of the players and won the 1v1 against blue. That was the greatest comeback I ever had.

i think a good easy fix for the leader bar is having it flash or pulse whenever there is a change. something that draws the eyes.

But I think a small animation of some kind (something small like the number pulsing to a larger size for half a second as it changes) could definitely make a huge impact as well, movement draws attention after all, maybe adding both ideas could be the key

Wild… played a Europe advanced game yesterday, no cap with a 56 stack one move away from taking my finial territory. Lucky set on three, went the other way, chained 3 kills and won it. No better feeling in this game

I've seen too many positive rolls on caps lately, both in my games and others' game videos. If SMG is experimenting with the dice algo, they should at least disclose it or perhaps do more closed beta testing before making that big of a change to the caps settings. I don't know if there has been a change, but the cap rolls from the last few weeks or so seem different from cap rolls even 1-2 months ago.

Had a similar situation except it was fixed. Had only 5 Troupes left, lost my cap and black dominated the whole lefthandside. When I finally got my 10 trade, I tried to look not threatening and did go for a bonus. On Round 16 everyone was dead and I got out of my beehive. Then I destroyed his whole board in one turn, wich lead to his botout. Was amazed myself, when I realised, that I can win this. And greatVideo again! It is indeed so satisfying, when you are shure to loose becomes a winning situation

I have been watching your daily videos for a week now and started playing risk online for the first time because of it. Not decided whether to do more, just enjoy playing 6 newbs and trying to beat them, attack crazy as you know and I often die before I even get started, but if they do let me survive, oh boy their surprised when my one or two territories in Asia or US or Europe wins.

Having the Master and GM leave/DC definitely helped. Although hard to call black a "Master" when he no thought rolled a 10v5 cap turn 2 to fully abandon his original cap and only lost 2 on a 5 cap. Jeez. Still, way to outlast and win from an "unrecoverable" position

I've been really enjoying these settings, but they're definitely not perfect. If all else is equal, it feels like people can be absolutely ruined on their cap positions at the start of the game. I've salvaged a few games from a terrible starting cap because people don't know to guard their caps properly, but if they were of a similar skill level I was dead in the water from turn 0. I love how choke-y the map is and how much that changes with the blizzards, feels dynamic from game-to-game, but maybe portals would improve that have-not-from-go feeling that is sometimes evident.

Having played 48 hour marathons on the old risk board years ago, I was veey reluctant to play the online version, your videos made me cjange my mind, maybe I will. How do I a) get to watch you LIVE ( TWITCK I know, but have you got a schedule and a link somewhere? And secondly how do I get to play in a tournament. So about the Cap roll being broken. It's been a while now that cap rolls have changed, it makes me wonder whether that's not a choice by the devs. Before yeah no chance getting a cap without having more than twice the cap, now you can get good roll in BB, wondering if they did that to limit stalemates

Cap rolls should be 1.5 times not 2.5 as they were, that way you can make a timely move and not be overtly punished especially if in a 3 player game, thereby handing the 3rd player an easier victory
