Side note: This string shrinks in high heat (like lighter flame) so if you wrap it to around wooden hammer head and a stick to bind them together into a wooden mallet, you can then heat with the lighter the already tightly wrapped string you used, and it would tighten it even further, that mallet head is NOT coming off anytime soon.

Once you've tied the string, you can apply heat, with either a heat gun or by pouring boiling water on it, to shrink the plastic and giving you a tight wrap.

I'm no expert, but, probably not! It has to do with melting temperature! The plastic used in 3D printers melts at comparatively low temps, lower than the plastic used for bottles!

One tip! Put the beginning of the string around an empty bottle with a piece of tape. Then use your drill to rotate the bottle so it automatically pulls the string and spins the string around the bottle!
