Ice Cubes with a cardboard back ground works great. Plus you get a nice Thermal Painting.

I use black spray paint on cardboard. If I shoot in the afternoon, the sun is at my back. The black (may work with any dark colored paint) paint heats up in the sunlight and shows up great in my thermal. I save the larger amazon/ups/fedex boxes for targets.

So I’m running the AGM tc35 384 as a clip on for an ar in front of a day scope unless I’m unaware it doesn’t have a cross hair in the clip on mode to be able to move crosshairs to bullet impact I believe in the manual says each adjustment of the frame is .87 moa adjustment. I had a heck of a time in zeroing it about 10 rounds partially user error and misunderstanding of the backwards thinking of x and y adjustments. Is there any tip you have for faster zeroing without a retical moving. Would moving the image still apply to moving it to where it impacts while looking through day scope for instance it’s 3 inches low 1 inch left would I just make an adjustment to the thermal of 3 down one left or is it traditional and move it 3 up 1 right

Thanks for watching. We do not sell or recommend any clip-on optics as we do not believe they are something we can recommend to our customers in good conscience. We would advise you to contact your dealer you advised you to purchase the clip-on and they should be able to help you with all your setup and zeroing help. That’s what good dealers do for the customers and we’re sure your dealer will be glad to help! Good luck

I zero at night using a steel target and a small piece of reflective tape at 50 yards then 100 yards. I spray paint the target black which works better than white. First I bore sight the thermal using a small piece of reflective tape placed on the center of the steel target. I remove the bolt and use the flashlight to find and center the target through the bore. I match my thermal adjustments (x/y) with the bore sight picture. This gets me on target and I zero from there.

Tips on beginning to zero when your rifle has a 20 moa base built in?

Start at 25 yards dead on or 1” low will get you close at 100 yard. I use pulsar 2” thermal targets.

You might need to start at 10 or 20 yards and make reticle adjustments to make sure that you are on paper.. .then start backing up from there. Thanks for watching...

If you have a laser bore sighter, aim it at a thermal contrasting target - I have used the aluminum caps on chain link posts and even an electric meter face on a nearby shop as aiming points(gun unloaded of course) for bore sighting newly mounted scopes, both conventional and digital, and you can adjust your reticle to come to that point, then fine tune at the range.

Can you show a thermal inside the woods? Would like to see what it looks like in woods instead of a field
@TheLateNightVisionShow4 ай бұрын
It looks like what you’d expect…obviously you can’t see near as far and it really all depends on how thick the woods are. If it’s wide open like a park you will see further than if it’s all brush. You would definitely want a 1x base magnification scope if you were truly in thick woods or brush. If you were looking down log roads or trails then a 1.5x or 2x might be ok. We hope this helps a little. Thanks for watching.

Biggest myth IMO is the “1 shot zero”…….its NEVER 1 shot and zero in my experience.
