When you think of the subject in the sentence, you usually think of a noun or a pronoun. This is because the subject represents what or whom the sentence is about.
Understanding and recognizing the subject of the sentence will help you construct varied sentences in your speaking and writing. Also, it will improve your reading comprehension when reading advanced text.
In this lesson you will learn about the various grammatical forms that a subject can take.
A subject can be a noun phrase, noun clause, gerund phrase, infinitive phrase, prepositional phrase, dummy subject, and implied subject.
There is a bonus quiz at the end.

For some reason this whole analysis is missing in my education. Thank you for helping me close the gap; I cannot understate how much this improves my confidence in writing my own English sentences and how it makes long English sentences instantly seem more digestible to me.

Hi, Lulu. I think that To infinitive, gerund clause, and that clause can be a noun clause. Thank you for your video and tutorials.🎉.
