Oh Nora, you made me laugh in this one (LECA going everywhere! HAHA). I'm SO motivated to become the leca 'princess' 🤣 And I'm really loving the plastic backing idea. Found out my local Officeworks has the A2 Polypyrene sheets so will get moving with those and with transitioning to leca. I love how cleaner LECA is and how fabulous the GT products are making our plants look. Can't wait to hear that Root Zone is available 👏 Grateful for your efforts and time 🙏

Amazingly gorgeous! I am planning on transitioning to Leca, starting with my smallest ones first to see how it goes. My monstera deliciosa will probably be the last one, as it is the biggest. 😉 Thanks so much for this video, as I am sure I will need it when the time comes.😊👍

Your plants are so gorgeous❤...shows all the knowledge, love and effort you put in. I have used your leaf shine and pest solution recipes and it is effective. Now am slowly trying to transition some plants to leca and here i am again going through all your leca transition videos. You speak with so much experience and confidence that one feels absolutely sure of trying what you suggest. And you share all your knowledge and do not hold anything back. Really appreciate ❤

Hello do you do this with your vigger plants right away? Or do you allow them to acclimate to your space first?
@vanessabezzant Жыл бұрын
How exactly do you determine if the roots are suspicious? I've always just figured if they are brown or soft to touch/mushy, they are bad, but watching this video, particulary the portion in which you cut off bad roots, may be realize I need to get a better understanding of healthy and non healthy roots. As always, thank you so much for your amazing content. I love all your videos and learn so much from you! Thank you thank you!
@TheLecaQueen Жыл бұрын
Hello, anything that is mushy or soft certainly needs to go. But I also just err on the side of caution. If any root even looks at me sideways it has got to go! But in all seriousness roots that look darker and not looking like the others I cut, but as I am now loving this no roots thing with my transitions, it has now taken that problem off my hands.

Thank you for your channel! I love your video, and it is a pleasure to watch, but it has reignited my plant hobby. Question: Do you think the plastic back moss pole is best?
@TheLecaQueen2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Not necessarily best, I just prefer it because it keeps moss moist longer and directs roots, best is too strong a word.

I have watched all your video's and transferred most of my plants to leca this past year. Now my huge monstera deliciosa has a gnat infestation in the aroid mix it's in. I want to transfer it to leca, but am scared, because it's so big. I already got a hydro pot for it (30 cm). Do you think I can safely transfer it to leca? It's my favorite plant with a lot of leaves with fenestrations and holes.

My plants always get root rot when I’ve tried leca the bottom of the leca pot always stays wet while the middle to the top are dry what is it I’m doing wrong
@TheLecaQueen2 жыл бұрын
I am so sorry to hear that. I would like to know 2 things: Do you soak your leca for 24hours or more before use? What kind of reservoir do you have?
@erikacameron19552 жыл бұрын
I haven’t had root rot yet but l have the same with the capillary action of the leca, nice and wet in the reservoir but drier to bone dry at the top. All my leca is soaked prior to use. I have started to try to raise the humidity level by using a small humidifier nearby. Perhaps this will help the leca work better.

Can this be done in colder/darker months (like fall/winter)?
