So behemoth is a representation of humbleness. It’s massive and powerful but gentle and humble. We know that it’s gentle because in spite of it’s size other animals are comfortable around it. It’s humble because though it’s powerful it doesn’t cause turmoil like leviathan. That being said it amazes me with this knowledge one would illustrate behemoth like a catastrophic monstrosity. Yeah it is a monster but that description is a reference to its size and nothing else.

It’s powerful and dangerous but other animals play around it because it’s gentle. It’s literally the polar opposite of Leviathan which is considered the king of the children of pride. The Bible says leviathan rejoices at that which most would fear. In the bible God asks job who is brave enough to challenge leviathan. Behemoth not flinching at the Jordan River is a sign of its size and strength. It doesn’t mean it’s prideful.

I have always assumed the Behemoth is one of the many long-necked dinosaurs. The tail and legs match that and the fact it was amongst the reeds. The Bible also doesn't hold up the millions of years age of the world hypothesis, so having a dino in the Bible isn't weird. Which is why I have wondered why so many Christians, as a Christian MYSELF, believe that dinos are made up creatures.

Because it's a modern day faith that's currently worshipped by a huge portion of the world Christianity's monsters and otherworldly beings don't get as much love as they should. Love seeing a video like this. I'm atheist but i adore mythology and religion of all kinds because they are some of the best and most important stories ever created by man. The abrahamic religions have lots of stories about crazy otherworldly monsters and beings that rival any roman, greek, Egyptian, or norse myths and even in Christian homes so many of them are unknown.

Fun fact: Behemoth and Leviathan also appeared in the MonsterVerse. In the MonsterVerse, Behemoth looks like a hybrid of a gorilla, a sloth, and a mammoth. And Leviathan is also implied to be the same creature as the Loch Ness Monster (it was contained in an outpost in Loch Ness). Additionally, Abaddon was also mentioned as one of the 17 (and counting) Titans that was awakened by King Ghidorah (who was also based on the Dragon). Abaddon was previously contained in an outpost in Devils Tower, Wyoming.

The First/Second Beasts are just metaphors, I don't think anyone actually think literal beasts like them will exist. In Revelation, John, the author of the book, was shown A Lot. He was probably shown things like tanks, planes, guns - a whole lot of modern things his brain could hardly comprehend. So... a lot a metaphor, 'cause how are you supposed to warn others if words are lost on you? The beasts are actually supposed to be powerful people in a dictatorship-like 1984 world, not actually mytho-like monsters.

We hold great power and many countries look up to us as giants (hence why there are so many migrants many of whom are idealistic of how good it will be in the west) . It is, but that begs the question what in the Bible and especially Revelation should be taken as literal, what is semi-metaphorical, and what is outright metaphorical. I honestly hope its all literal. Not out of some kind of spite but because four guys running around on horseback cutting tanks in half with medieval weaponry would be a spectacle to behold.

It may or may not be representative of something else. Something else meaning hard-to-understand, misunderstood, or something we are not yet capable of understanding. However, the term literal should not be applied when separating the Physical from the Spiritual. The Bible teaches that the Physical realm often manifests what is already happening in the Spiritual realm (Thy will be done in Earth as in Heaven, etc.). But also, that the Spiritual is eternal, and the physical is only temporary. In that regard it is the Spiritual that is literal. The "blessing" of prophecy is that it always points to God as Sovreign over time, space, and everything created. Prophecy can never be figured out but must be revealed by the Holy Ghost. (Blessed art thou Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. I don't think nephilim survived the flood. That would imply God's plan to get rid of corruption to start over failed, and God does not fail. However there is a good chance that different angels left their post amd begor new giants, but didnt need to teach humanity secrets of heaven because the first set already did.

God was purging the corrupted DNA within humans... not necessarily the Nephilim. God made a promise to Eve that the Messiah would come through her seed. An interesting theory concerning the Nephilim is that they were supposed to be representative of all the old gods and heroes of mythologies. Primarily these were the Greek/Roman dieties, and were supposedbto help with the conversion of the peoples of those areas.

Well both of you might be in the wrong... The nephilim were the kids born out of human women and the fallen Angels (they were a seperate group who came down on earth on their own Accord and were not part of Lucifer's inserruction) as half human and half spirit they were different from the humans (sons of Adam) (btw in those days men lived to be 900 years so imagine the stature of a guy who is that much old) these nephilim were way much bigger and taller than the rest... They got wiped out during the flood.... There weren't any "Israelites" then... The Israelites were the grand children of Abraham.

@@thisnthat7760 I never claimed they were Israelites, I claimed that saying the Israelites made them up for the sake of conversion is inconsistent with the Israelites' lack of care for conversion. Also the Bible does not give us that much information about fallen angels and Satan's insurrection, that's mostly conjecture, nor does the Bible associate fallen angels with Nephilim. Also Nephilim appears in the book of Numbers and the book of 1 Samuel, so while all the Nephilim were killed in the flood, more were still born later
