battery delete does that mean don’t run it in series with the under the hood battery? i have a mechman 370 alternator under the hood , do i just run a whole new power wire from the alt to the back & connect it to the jp40? & don’t run the stock battery to my car audio in the back ? also how do i check what volts my alt charges at? i have the Mechman 370 amp high output alternator for Dodge / Chrysler 3.6L / 300 / Challenger / Charger #11572370 . this is my question as well. I was getting confused on that too. Does that mean what you said or I can't use my agm under the hood and would have to run my car electrical wires to the jp40. if the latter is the case then just get two separate alternators, one dedicated to the jp40? This is something I was hoping he would have explained more in depth. Or do I need to add an isolator? I'm not familiar with this process so I'm need the yellow and black book... installing a lithium bank for dummies book lol.

Okay I just did some research and it totally means get rid of your battery under the hood. My next question is to one of my original points. If I ran two alternators one for my car electrical and agm battery for that and the second for my jp 40 will that work. Just curious because I'm sure I would go with the battery delete route if I purchase it.

For the system pushing about 3000w rms, would you prefer the single JP40 or the LTO 6.0 paired with ultra cap? Also, does the JP40 needs to be charged before using or can it be used right out of the box? Will be running the stock alternator 160amp as well. Thanks!

If you arent going to delete your front battery, replace with litihium or supercaps or isolate the jp40 stick with the lto 6.0 and cap its the easiest install with factory everything else.

Limitless also says not to go over 14.8 but I do anyways it's only at 15.3 when it's cold then after it warms up it's about right... what should we do to keep the voltage right or should we look at a different type of battery

I been running it this way for about a year never had a voltage issue or battery issue, not saying it's ok to do it, just saying I've been doing it and haven't had a problem yet 🙏 I take it like a sub rating it will probably take a little more lol... it's only for about 20 min that it's at 15.3 once the engine bay warms up it's dead on 14.8.. I really like these JP40's I kinda wanna get rid of these limitless just to get some of these but if it's a little over voltage, how long will they last is my question. Limitless makes one that will take more voltage I just like these better

My question is regarding the integrated monitoring system. It appears in the first video that once you start to buss multiple JP40's together, that only the first one will have full access to the plug-in for the monitor. So, if you buss 2, 3, 4, or more of the JP40 together, does the monitoring display keep watch of all of the JP40's that are bussed together, or is it just monitoring the one in which it is plugged in to?

I have a 350 amp brand X alternator with a set voltage of 14.8. But I’ve noticed in cooler weather when I start my vehicle a lot of times my voltmeter on the dash says 15 to 15.1. Would you think this would cause a problem?

Was just wondering Could you still run a agm as a backup battery? So the lithium is main battery but run an isolator that turns on when it's running to keep the backup battery charged but shuts off/disconnect when truck is off. Just thinking incase the lithium died which isn't good but then I could disconnect it and run the agm.

I just commented on 'Part 1' but for the first question... she can try to replace the Big 3 (or 4) with stock wiring or OFC 4AWG. I'm assuming that she has done a Big 3 or 4 upgrade and if so that it was 0/1AWG OFC or bigger. If she installed the High-Output Alternator w/o/ the B3/4 upgrade, that's an impressive voltage. Resistance prior to the battery will reduce the voltage (not alternator amp output).

Don't mix the JP40 with an AGM or LeadAcid battery, as stated in the product description.

I just installed this battery and mine drops down to 12 volts at full tilt I gotta mechman 240 amp alternator with 0 gauge wire and my last down4sound LTO 6.0 would stay in the 14s I don’t understand why I’m dropping 2 volts. Any suggestions?

Lots of factors Do you have an under the hood battery? Power or ground issue? Did you fully charge it with a lithium charger before you hooked it up? I have a xs powers sb500-34 cap bank rated for under the hood zero issues with what the jp 40 claims it can do. I would check all points as it could be something simple.

Curious about battery isolators and if that would make it safe to use an AGM under the hood if it was isolated? Being stranded without the ability to "jump start" my vehicle (because no AGM) is pretty terrifying for my daily drive to work vehicle...

You don’t have to actually take out your under the hood battery. Just take off the negative terminal. Maybe once a month or sooner disconnect the JP40 and hook up the under the hood again and let it charge up for awhile and then go back to the *delete*

I would do the delete and just run the jp40. Do a ground and power run front to back if possible.I ha e 2 jp40 on a crescendo 8k @.5 and a crescendo s1 and s4 battery delete with zero issues

Depends on setup. I have 2 of these on a crescendo 8k at .5 just got it set up to be honest I was shocked how good they work. I have a gp audio 320 alt I never go below 14.2. As far as 1 jp40 better off at 1 ohm
