Man I just ran across this video been upgrading my system with lithium and super cap had a super hard time finding a lithium battery that was perfect for my stock alternator and Toyota charging system luckily I found one at jag35 74AH Lev60 pro V2 but this is the first super cap I have run across in a 14 volt configuration great job man it's about time someone started building for the daily driver setup

It should be noted that this is a 5S configuration while everyone in car audio normally uses 6S. Anything above that 14.25v can cause the caps to immediately fail. You shouldn’t be at max voltage on caps all the time either. The cases look nice but I’d never put these in a car unless you’re charging UNDER 14v. You’re better off spending the money on an alternator and external regulator combo.

@@brian6029 no one uses 3s headway and calls it a 12v max battery. Those aren’t a comparison to this. Headway is safe to 14.6 max which is within normal range for most cars. 14.0 max is way too low a threshold.

​@@62dobie You might be running those headway cells above 80% which requires a special constant voltage charger. If your only using an alternator I would charge at a slightly lower voltage to make sure they last a long time and don't overheat.

Just got one of these. Before I was getting voltage drops on idle even with a 320 amp alternator because I’m running 9k rms. Once I charged and installed at full tilt there’s virtually no voltage drop and tachometer doesn’t flinch at idle even with heater, steering wheel heater, seat heater and headlights on.

I just ordered a jp 40 I'm running a jp43 js 320 alt and 2 xv3 10s ik they call it a 10k battery but that's over rating as long as it's good for 5k I'm happy

@@NickVaughn-en9bb U will be happy with the JP40. I’m no expert but talking from experience I honestly believe they good for 6k, it’s probably good for 10k only for a quick second burp not for a 10k demo or daily.

JP I have a question, I watched this video when you aired it, but coming back to it now. I'm looking at the combo with this and the JP40. I just picked up a second alternator, Mechman 400. Would you be concerned about the charging voltage of that alternator, I know voltage fluctuates, and wouldn't want to damage these, JP40 & JP630 combo. Is there some kind of voltage regulator that would cap the voltage that you might recommend? Or should I be good to go? Thanks in advance.
