A quick suggestion: since you only turn to one side to look in your mirror to apply, we inherently don’t get to see the side of your face that’s away from the camera as much when you apply products. Maybe consider setting up a mirror on either side of your camera, so you can shift sides depending on which you’re applying to? Cheers!

Drugstore does mascara better than high-end. L'oreal has my heart in the mascara category. And yes, the Lifter liner and glosses are amazing.

I love Ulta products, and I never hear anyone reviewing or loving them. It’s like they gatekeep them, like the crush foundation and the radiant concealer, the stick foundation you can use as a perfect color matching bronzer stick too with a deeper shade, that’s way easier to find your correct undertone when it’s a foundation. Multifunction products is the name of the game. You don’t need to buy everything in every category that comes out in the market because your fav influencers getting paid to say they are a must buy says so… when they get all their products for free and we do NOT.

The Hourglass Vanish Stick has been my holy grail for 10 years or so. It’s so fantastic for dry skin, wears for 10+ hours, and it doesn’t need setting. I use powder blush and bronzer to “set” it, and it stays all day.

Milani’s cream blush and bronzer are far better than Elf’s, a similar formula as Stila. Ulta products are the same price as drugstore, but so many are such high quality. I feel like we are sleeping on the Ulta brand. They have the best radiant/hydrating concealer. Those L’Oréal eye shadow sticks are the best on the market. They glide, have the pigment but stay put. They don’t drag, fade or get patchy. It’s a Laura M but accessible and more affordable.

Byoma has an absolutely beautiful toner! It's a Milky toner and they also have great moisturizers and stuff so you're looking for some great products go with byoma. The toner is only $15 about

I love complexion sticks. My favorite right now is the Jones Road face pencils the (unfortunately )discontinued Tom Ford traceless stick foundation. I haven’t tried the Fenty stick foundation. I have been a full stick foundation person this summer..got fenty basma and merit stick foundation. Now that its winter using up more of the heavier liquid foundations or skin tints. The sticks are just easier to travel and works best on my oily combo skin ❤❤

It’s funny because we tend to use heavier products in the fall and winter month when we have drier, lighter due to not being in the sun much, more sensitive skin, melasma we wanna cover but is nearly impossible to as the sun darkens any freckling, liver spots/age spots, the melasma. You’d think if we were to use a heavier makeup we would be doing that in the summer when it’s hot, we have the sun naturally bronzing our skin to make us look healthier on its own, when we’ve got the sun blazing down on us and our skin is not as dehydrated as the winter months. I personally think we look far better with light makeup and it makes more sense throughout the year, and for any and all ages. Less is more I whole heartedly believe and the eyes is where we can play with heavier and more vivid color. Just my thoughts.😊

@@SusieQ-49 i guess we have amazing moisturizers and primers so dryness can be sorted. Personally, I have oily acne prone skin so heavy makeup is not possible even in summers. And yes I agree lighter natural makeup is more maintainable for a full day look ☺️☺️

Question: how do you keep products from oxidizing or lessen it? Even translucent powders can and usually change the color of your base makeup as soon as you lay it down, when it promises not to do that. Foundations especially oxidize so badly you pump out a correct color match and it becomes orange within a minute, swatching and on the skin.

Having mature skin, I too feel dryness around my eyes. As I do moisturize religiously, and will be trying the Elf you suggested here for under the eyes, does your makeup or shadow/liner crease with the extra moisture there ? Regarding stick foundation-Lancôme is hands down the best and worth every penny! Long lasting, lightweight, perfect. Not a drugstore brand but nonetheless nothing compares to this OG formula. Better than Fenty, Bobbi Brown and all the rest. Promise.

Always bring a stick foundation when I travel by plane. Nothing easier for on the go touch ups. Use Bobbi Brown for drier skin days. Makeup Forever stick for summer. Always prep underneath as I have mature skin. Want to try the Lancome absolut.

i have that revolution palette! it’s really good. but since i don’t have a glitter primer i’ve never really known how to use the pure glitter shade. putting it over a wet shadow stick/liquid shadow is SO smart, thank you! i also prefer the glide of a retractable eyeliner to a wooden pencil. also love the essence call me queen mascara. but it does tend to smudge on me😢 the maybelline lifter liners are good, too. they dry down well but my pencil tends to break. maybe i sharpen it up too far.
