Our June 2024 trip to Asia continues as we make our way from Osaka in Japan to Hong Kong for the fourth part of our adventure. In this vlog we take you along for the journey starting off with public transport from Universal Studios Japan to Osaka Airport. We then fly to Hong Kong before travelling on the train to Hong Kong Disneyland!

The chair is actually for the elderly as Japan is the fastest aging population in the world. They just aren’t having kids. The population is also declining at a rapid pace too. All the younger Japanese are trying to make life easier for the elderly now.

Most people flying from Japan to hong Kong are there for business reasons. It’s always fast. Japanese companies are creating buildings and headquarters in Hong Kong.

Those chairs you rode in the airport you can buy as I wanted to get one when i got my mobility scooter as they are basically a mobility scooter rather than a wheel chair. They are quite expensive as they start from I think £1,500 but you can get different sorts and you can customise them how you want xx

Osaka Kansai airport is built so far out in the bay as it allows the airport to operate 24/7, planes take off and land over the water so there isn’t such a problem with noise pollution compared to having is closer to the mainland.

I am planning a trip...hopefully for next year though it is pricy the best priced flight I could see was with Air China. Though like TPW says it's best to look around and do prince comparisons. I'd also recommend planning out an itinerary so you have a really good idea how much of your plans are feasible and exactly how much it would cost.

I am back from my trip to Europa park. Went to Rulantica as well in the end. My flight was delayed for an hour. Thunderstorms they said. Didn’t get back to the uk till 11pm. Started my day at the airport at 3:30pm. Flight should have left at 7:45pm. It left at 9:30pm 😂😢. Also the boarding process was a shambles as Basel airport. I find it odd how they don’t let the window seaters board first. I think airports should consider it. Glad you’re having a nice time with your trip

Shawn and Charlotte, I saw that Disneyworld in Florida is pricing itself out of the range of regular people. That's a sad commentary on what Walt wanted, a friendly fairly priced resort for everyone. Even a cash cow will eventually dry up, Disney stock is down to around 100$. However , this resort in Hong Kong looks really promising and reasonable, and you didn't have to get Shanghaied to get there.:) Cheers, Rik Spector

Actually both the Osaka airport and Tokyo airport are built upon brand new land. They took sand and dumped it into Tokyo bay and Osaka bay creating new land. It’s unfortunately awful as it disrupts many fish species and buries coral reefs. Unfortunately a lot of Tokyo and the cities around the coast are like that. New York is planning to connect governor’s island to manhattan by filling in with sand and paving over everything. Japan unfortunately has issues with this land as it will turn to liquid when a minor earthquake hits. It’s one of the major dangers of Japan.

Osaka Kansai Airport is engineered for earthquakes, and survived unscathed from the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995
