Totally awesome. I saw Muddy and his band live at the old Colonial Tavern in Toronto in 1973. The harp player at that time was Jerry Portnoy, but Hollywood Fats was on guitar. I saw right up in front of the stage, just feet away from Muddy, and it was the greatest show I have ever been to in my life. I cannot say enough about how much I love and admire that great man for everything he did in his lifetime.

I was lucky enough to see him 1977 in Germany! He opened for Eric Clapton and stole the show 😊🇫🇷🎶

I got to see Muddy Waters when I was fortunate to go to college. I was not a blues fan, but that night changed my mind and perspective. He and his band was fantastic.

At a 144-148bpm paste this sounds as a true boogie-woogie. Muddy stirred up the Waters really nicely in this one. The gang is on a real mountain rafting adventure trip.😎

It's an African-American magic charm. One of the most powerful is a mojo hand. I.e. a dead man's hand.
@RnR-Rebel3 ай бұрын
@@gerardgarbutt607- a mojo hand is actually more like a gris-gris bag w/ stuff in it; could also refer to lucky hand root which is used to bring good luck. What you’re thinking of is a “hand of glory” which is a dead persons hand, usually a thief or criminal of some sort used for various purposes both benign & malignant. Hope that helps! 😊

Can someone spend a second here pls: I love music of all kinds and im not a specialist. Im about to add this song to my 'Blues' playlist but, for me, blues have a deeper/lower tone (ie Sony Boy Williamson) Is not full of life like this song (independently of the lyrics). Is this, or the other example mentioned, a sub genre or something like that?
