"Rumination creates inflammation" "...Placebos can be more effective than anti-depressants long-term..." "No thought of self care" "Unintentional self-harm" from living a normal life. Internal pressure vs. external expectations Hopes vs. expectations Expectations vs. standards Actionable self-care items 28:00-32:00 Truly phenomenal conversation. Thank you.

This feels surreal. I mean, I've been listening to you guys through a podcast app where all I had was your voices without the visuals until today I decided to check out your youtube channel and now that I'm looking at how you guys work out with almost every episode in this studio, it's just amazing.

If giving doesn't fill you up, it isn't really giving - Randi Kaye. Wow! Good one. Don't just say no, but explain what you're saying yes to.

A tip for meditation. Usually for us very busy minds the "watch your thoughts" is really tough and sometime later you are caught in a thought. What really works is to go through them. i.e seeing your thoughts and your mind being an arrow and literally in your mind piercing them with your arrow mind..Everytime you have a thought. It works amazingly!

Feet care as self-care - Yes!!!! Gait, stance, and mirroring as part of American culture/society and grounding to balance that - Ryan, can you talk about the steps you've taken to ground within yourself and release the urge to mirror or connect with or receive approval from others? GENIUS

I’m heading outside to rake leaves for the next several hours. I guess the trees didn’t get the minimize-memo, or did they 🤔 Anyway, stoked to listen to this while I work. Thanks.

The entire answer to Shaylee question was so good to me. I have some of the same problems and is pretty hard to me to deal with "others expectations". Thank you so much for the advice! Also, I've had a tough time at high school too lol

I'm all for adding small pictures of whatever Ryan is making sounds of. The duck-sound was so unexpected and it made me laugh so hard ! Loved it !

Love, love, love this one. How amazing that "going to work" isn't a bad thing! You guys look like you are having such a great time. I am lucky to have one of those jobs, that I like and I have a great time! Don't tell my employer that I can't believe I am getting paid for what I get to do as a job. I am a Flight Attendant(23 years) and yeah, some days are a challenge, most days are super amazing and not like working at all. XOXO

I'm a freelance photographer and struggle to find time to care for myself. I work 7 days a week, often 12 hours or more a day. Its affecting my relationships and my mental state. I try to take out 30 minutes 2-3 times a week to do yoga and meditate but I feel like its barely helping and I need more time but have no more time!
@Ammut66 жыл бұрын
Must make time! Those who say I can't do x because x just means you lost. You already lost. I'm taking that out of context from a song ive listened to with the same message about time and doing what you want. Try and do the yoga in the mornings when you wake up.

Maybe charge a little more so you can buy yourself some free time? If you're 7 days a week busy, then I hope that means you're in demand enough to up your rates by just enough to get a day off to recharge!

Thank you 🙏 for this! Something I and we all need most especially the person you need to be. “Genuine & Consistent” / “Hope & Expectations” / “Being present”- “Raise Standards by SELF CARE” “Change state” “...Reminders I need everyday for my deficiencies ☹️ & struggles 😔 ...” ***the feet 🦶 😂 *** You helped me 2017 && now 2019, 🙏 PS : It was nice to see you both on YTube

p.s. I already saved the rule of two list lol.. I'm an all or nothing person, so when i get focused on something i can't get off track until that thing is finished. What happens is my excercise routine gets ignored for a month before I realize it.

I will say Wellbutrin saved my life along with therapy. And at times I've had to have it adjusted. I can understand the placebo part of the convo, but had I gotten help in HS I feel I would have been better off and not have suffered into my 40's.

Well for someone like me with chronic anxiety and depression, it's constant, every day and its exhausting to deal with so I take a fantastic med called Citalopram daily. It's not for everyone, but it works well for me.
