Thanks for taking the time to taking the time to review this: the options make it look great; I fancy something pretty like that for fun runs. I'm surprised to hear that it's heavier than my 1200GS though, that takes the edge off it a bit.

according to the Triumph website, the good thing of this A2 restricted machine is that it doesn't affect the peak torque, It's still a solid 90Nm at around 3000rpm.

I love the way marketing lingo drlfts down to the masses. Customizing a bike is now "making it yer own." I figured I made it my own when I wrote the check ;) I don't mind Triumph offering "offroad" pipes and such for a little more noise, but I sure hope they don't go the Harley route and start putting on goofy parts that require immediate replacement just to make the bikes tolerable.
@saddle8bag

Another one frequently heard at Harley places is "the paint really pops out in the sun." As most of my riding is done outside, I don't want paint that pops. Their exhausts do enough of that.

@TheMissendenFlyer
@TheMissendenFlyer 7 жыл бұрын
It's a UK specific thing that allows riders under (I think) 21 to ride bikes up to 40(ish) hp - it's a stepping stone towards your full licence.....complicated system we have here....

TheMissendenFlyer Ahh, thanks. That's kind of what I was surmising from some of the comments. I've never owned a Triumph. Just a few Japanese and one Norton. The Triumphs look beautifully put together. The fit and finish, quality of paint/powder coat looks flawless. And I love the retro-mod styling. Not too sweet on the bunny ears mirrors, but that's an easy fix. I'm stuck between liking the Scrambler and the T120. They both look sweet for the street, but I was hoping the Scrambler was going to be a bit more off-road ready. I guess more suspension travel, and maybe a set of knobby enduro tires. But then you'd have a duel sport/adventure bike, and there are plenty of bikes better built for the duel sport thing. But none of them look as cool as the Scrambler. Plus, very few Triumph riders in my neck of the woods. It's Harley country around here. I might buy just to be different and because it's gorgeous. And because I'm surrounded by miles of off-road trails and logging roads around here. So maybe tricking it out a bit for the sticks wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe it won't be the best off roader, but it will be the sharpest looking!

Very nice bike, just one question: it is possible to rise up the seat height with the rear Fox shocks? I mean, it is possible to make the bike a little more tall for taller riders? I'm 1,85 and i fear the bike is too small for me. If the seat is 820/830mm instead of 790mm it will be great. Thank you and have nice rides

in the uk there are 2 power restricted motorcycle licences. A1 is for 17+ year olds and is restricted to 125cc. A2 is for 19-25 year olds and restricted to bikes producing no more than 47hp. Over 25 you can get an unrestricted A licence. I just passed my A licence 2 weeks ago yay!!!

@scotwilson4169 7 жыл бұрын
My previous bike was a 47bhp restricted Suzuki 650 vstrom. Previous law was you could restrict any bike 94 bhp or lower down to 47. Mine had a throttle restrictor, so had most of the low down torque but lacks top end. I think however there is a new law introduced recently, so you're not allowed to restrict the bike yourself, as TMF said you have to buy the bike from the manufacturer as an A2 bike. Apparently the mt07 tracer is available as an a2 bike but is not possible to de-restrict at all. I'm not 100% sure about that though so you'd have to double check as it keeps changing..... anything they can do to steal more money off us has got to be good for them! I've done 4 motorcycle tests now including my cbt years ago, the. A1,a2,full A, so one way or another they've had at least £1000 off me in test fees and lessons

Love your channel TMF! Side question. I'm from US but have been to UK and know that the roads are tight. UK has one of the safest driving records worldwide and there is no way I would approach some of the areas you do, at your speeds, in the US. Maybe you edit out some of the near misses but in the US I have folks make eye contact with me and pull out right in front of me all the time... Very unnerving... US is 4 times greater risk to driving as near as I can tell. What do you attribute this low number of fatalities to? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_traffic-related_death_rate Thanks for all the vids
