This video made me subscribe, I have been doing beauty tutorials for like 9 months and never seemed to get my videos perfect so I have constantly been On KZbin looking for instructional videos on Davinci Resolve that could help me achieve clear smooth and beautiful videos. I have not tried this yet but watching this video has shown me that it’s possible to do. You took your time and showed the steps which a lot of people don’t do. Thank you! I can’t wait to try this and watch some of your other videos to see what else you show us. I’m gonna purchase your titles package as well! Oh and if you don’t have a camera settings video PLEASE MAKE ONE! Anyways thank you thank you! And I’ll definitely be trying these tips in my next video!

REALLY appreciate your tutorials. +1 SUB. One quick tip I learnt today from a 2hour Resolve 15 'official' colour training video on KZbin... - ALT + S is a new serial node 'WITH' Power Window - ALT + C is a new serial node 'without' Power Window (which I always used myself, deleting the PW every time!) Anyway, I've learnt so much from your channel, so just returning a 'small' ARHHH moment tip in return!! Keep up the good work.
@TheModernFilmmaker5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Marcus!! Really appreciate the kind words man 👊✌ ... For me those hot keys are the exact opposite. Alt+C adds a new node with power window, Alt+S is just a new serial node

I love this. One of my biggest complaints while watching TV and movies is the poor lighting on black skin/poor color correcting on black skin. All too often I can see power windows in the finished product. The compression algorithms at Netflix and Amazon are not kind to Resolves power windows sometimes. They will appear almost as blue or grey floating circles around black faces. I suppose this could be a case of the colorists just not spending the time per shot that you have here too. Even in their quickness as professional color graders, they skimp.
@TheModernFilmmaker5 жыл бұрын
That is a very interesting observation but spot on. I personally like to take my time, one a company sends it out to TV or Web your work is out there for good but sometimes you have time constraints that you can't push.

@nebvision68395 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I’ll need to do a little more research on the skin tone line. I took the Color Grading Academy course by Denver Riddle and he states that darker skin tones should fall just to the right of the skin tone line since they tend to have more reds in them... The end result came out great either way though man, this was definitely helpful.
