I finally found resolve grading tutorials by someone I can trust. You don't go overboard with the saturation like I've been seeing too many folks do having their subjects looking like they're from the Simpsons.

Fantastic video - shows great color grading, copying color grade from one clip to another, and how to add extra effects to a clip. I am going through all the Modern Filmmaker tutorials and picking up boulders or nuggets of info along the way.

Hi, really like your presentation style and content of your videos. As a suggestion, I imagine that a lot of newbies to DVR( like me) watch your videos. Could I suggest that you mention the keyboard shortcuts or mouse clicks that you use to select functions etc. You just need to mention this once in a video. Many thanks, we really appreciate what you do.

what kind of transitions do you use on your practice timeline dude???
@TheModernFilmmaker5 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you mean. I didn't use transitions between clips in this edit.

beginner question. is this still use the 1080p timeline but with the 4k source ?
@TheModernFilmmaker5 жыл бұрын
I dont understand the question
@asnadwitama99815 жыл бұрын
@@TheModernFilmmaker i mean, when u color grade the clip. Is that clip still in 1080p timeline or 4K? I mean the timeline, not the clip itself

How do you compensate for the noise normally found in log footage?
@TheModernFilmmaker6 жыл бұрын
I just try my best to slightly over expose and of course keep the ISO at its native. Usually that is enough to get clean shots.
@RodneyCooperFilmz6 жыл бұрын
Are you using Resolve's built in NR if you run into trouble with noise?
