I've been a fan of Zenni for about 5 years now. It's an easy way to have a variety of glasses, without spending too much. Different environments require different glasses! Even after LASIK, I want to try Zenni again. Glasses are still useful in the sun and if I'm trying to look different.

I'm a short guy, but still love the overhand. Plus I got a long neck and always feel cold. My solution? I just wrap the scarf around my neck first, then do the overhand (for extra warmth I pop up my flannel shirt's collar and wrap the scarf around that to add an extra layer of cloth). I love it

The French Knot is my go-to since the get-go, it just made the most since trying on my first scarf. The Aviator (I prefer to call it that) is one I don't utilize as often as I probably should, it looks great. I've never seen the Double Tuck before--I like it, and I've done The Reverse accidentally before when I was in a rush, it didn't stick with me. That Faux Knot tho!

Weird timing, but thanks for covering the topic! I've been getting into scarves for the last couple seasons, and I'm really enjoying the function, and the style. I've found I'm most comfortable or "masculine" with scarves in a medium weight. Super thin like silk is too formal, and super chunky knits are a bit too casual for me. I have the most luck with a loose weave in cotton, or a flannel-style weave in cotton or wool; these hit the right spot for smart casual style. One of my favs actually comes from the ladies section, its about 12' wide but I just fold in half hotdog style so it acts like the ones i'm used to. Another great style is a square scarf (or one you can fold to a square shape) and wear like a middle-eastern shemagh style, that's a great "scene" look, and you also see special forces guys wear like this to protect their neck. Antonio from RMRS has a great video discussing the military history of scarves, so yeah they can definitely be masculine, and it helps a lot how you style them. Thanks for all the tips!

I grew up in a cold climate (wearing balaclavas instead of scarves), then moved to a warm climate, where they're rarely useful. I didn't wear a scarf until my wife bought me a nice cashmere one several years ago (a subtle, large-sett navy plaid). I only use it about 3 to 4 times a year. I've been using the reverse once-around, but I'm planning to try the French knot when I next wear it. I became a fan of Zenni in the past year or so. A couple of the style channels (maybe yours) mentioned using glasses as an accessory. Since my eye insurance only covers 1 pair per year, I'd been unable to keep more than one pair of glasses and one pair of sunglasses going at any given time (due to damage and/or changing prescription). I did my own research into online options for ordering glasses. Zenni was one of the three companies I ran across, and it was the least expensive by a wide margin. I also used the sizing filter extensively, because I could use it to choose glasses that were approximately the same size as ones that already fit me well. They did a great job of matching my prescription. Despite all the "pros" to my Zenni glasses, there are some "cons." They *feel* lightweight and cheap. (They were surprisingly inexpensive, so that feeling is not unexpected.) I assume that they won't survive rough treatment … unlike the pair of sports sunglasses that I purchased through my optometrist. On the other hand, I bought *three* pairs of glasses plus *two* pairs of sunglasses for slightly more than I paid my optometrist for my *one* pair of sports sunglasses. And my eye insurance covered ~75% of the cost of those sunglasses. I wear my Zenni glasses where they're unlikely to encounter rough treatment. And if they happen to meet the unexpected, they're cheap to replace. If I'm in a situation where my glasses might get smashed between my face and the pavement, then I'll wear a more expensive and robust pair of glasses. (This isn't hyperbole. My current, and costly, pair of sports sunglasses replaced an equally expensive pair of fashionable sunglasses … which were destroyed in a cycling accident … between my face and the pavement. The fashion sunglasses weren't as robust as my current pair of sports sunglasses, but the expensive pair of sunglasses sufficiently protected my priceless and irreplaceable eyes.) If I need to see, look stylish, while on a budget, Zenni is a great option. If I need to protect my eyeball, then Zenni is the wrong tool for the job.
