I was full blown lmfao..."she's got a mustache"....I'm kinda familiar with Lacuna Coil so I knew they had two vocalists...I think the other people appearing in the video were setting up for their own video...like that guy was doing during that Jinjer performance 🤣

The album Delirium is about mental health issues and the way society reacts to this. To really get the context of the song you've gotta listen to the whole album,it tells a story from the point of view of a sufferer and the way they feel and are treated by family and the mental institution they are at. A really inspired concept and the band recorded the videos in an 1800s, haunted, mental hospital in Italy. The male vocals are the dark side of the minds voice and Cristina's voice is the character thinking and living with the reality.

Oh wow, okay, now I REALLY want to dive into this album. The psychotic features I experienced during manic episodes in my late teens and early 20's had me hospitalized several times, so this intrigues me on a deep and relatable level.
@rodneypayne48275 жыл бұрын
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Sorry to hear that brother,hope you are all good now. Apparently the band had some family members with these issues so they decided to really go all out with the writing and try to raise awareness. 🤘🤘

@@rodneypayne4827 I can totally support that! I am so glad this was requested now. I have bipolar type 1 with rapid cycling, and medication makes it manageable most of the time, but sometimes not so much. My mother an grandfather had it as well. This album should be an interesting journey.

Yeah, I haven't heard any Lacuna Coil for over 10.years. I do seem to remember the Male vocalist now. But yeah, the song was actually pretty good. Had several little interesting guitar licks going on in there.

Please, don't pause the video constantly. Makes it hard to get "into it" - gets across as a bit annoying. Speak about it afterwards, write down some timestamps while listening if you find something interesting you'd like to chat about - bring them up after the song is done.

They seem like the type of band that would have a really good live show. I'm starting to look more into their music now. I've known about them for YEARS, and heard some of their stuff like over a decade ago, but this song is definitely a jam!

Been watching your channel for a bit, and subscribed. You two are funny and I enjoy your analysis. I'll give a request, since I'm commenting. Atlases - Neophyte. (They're atmospheric black metal, with a mix of doom and melodeath. Band is from Pico, Finland).
@TheMoralMisanthrope5 жыл бұрын
YESSSSS!!! An atmospheric black metal band I'm actually NOT familiar with! I mean don't get me wrong, I'm excited about most of the requests I get because I love being introduced to new music, but I LOVE black metal, especially if it's atmospheric and REALLY dark. I love thrashier stuff too, but bands that make you feel like you're floating directly into a nightmare are magnificent.

Oh, I thought at first that "F" was a reference to possible...form, of genetic gifts, shall we say... that a frontwoman could be blessed with.
@TheMoralMisanthrope5 жыл бұрын
Haha, nah. Basically I was saying that I've heard lots of people talk about Lacuna Coil in the past, and the first thing I would always hear about them is how "hot" Cristina is, generally. Then I followed that with how that really is just an added aesthetic bonus for a band, but really for me it's more on what they do vocally rather than aesthetically. I said that she could look like an elderly woman that just crawled out of dumpster, but if she could growl and scream like a beast then that's all that truly matters. lol. I continued with how not everyone who fronts a band is super attractive by society's standards, and though some may be genetically blessed with good looks, some are not, but have incredible gifts in other areas.
@j.f.fisher53185 жыл бұрын
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Actually a band with an elderly frontwoman who looked like she had just crawled out a dumpster but could growl like Tatiana would be kinda freaking awesome. Not sure how many people would be into that, but it would be awesome. My dirty mind went to F cup size when you said to put F in the comments after talking about appearance though. :p

I've seen them live a few times and have been supporting them since the Comalies era (2002ish). They usually have a great show and the perfect duality between Christina and Andrea is quite something to experience live. But, the last time I saw them, their second guitarist had just quit and everything had been knocked down a few pegs and it was quite disappointing really. I haven't seen them since, but I hope they got that all sorted out and got back some of what they lost live. IMO their greatest song is Swamped or Heaven's a Lie.
