Thanks for reacting to Lacuna Coil. They don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve. Lot's of reactors checkout Nightwish, Epica, Unleash the Archers, Jinjer, Spiritbox, and Electric Callboy but not too many get into Lacuna Coil. I love all those bands and think Lacuna Coil deserves to be right there with them.

They certainly do! 30 years of mesmerizing audiences, they are pioneers, with the duel vocalists! And Christina Scabbia, her voice is next level amazing, with her natural yodel, outside the US they are a much bigger band worldwide than people think!

Hello dearest Tequila Amigo and la Gringa thanks for the reaction . Lacuna coil is one of my favourite brands. Cristina Scabbia the vocalist she is one of my top 5 female vocals in the metal. Her voice you can recognise from 1000 vocals she got that specific blend. She joined the band in 1996. The band was formed in 1994 in Milan Italy. The band was with two different names in the beginning . So the vocalist Andrea Ferro and bassist/composer Marco Coti Zelati formed the band with the name Sleep of Right ( 1994-1995). So from 1995-1997 they changed the name start called Ethereal ( that time Cristina joined the band like backing vocals. At the end of 1997 they found a band from Greece with the same name so they changed the name Lacuna coil. In 2006 they were nominated for a MTV Europe Music Award, 2012 they won Metal Female voices Fest Award for the best album. 2016 they have Metal Hammer Award for best international band, and 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best live act. The same year Lovebites took the Award for the best new metal band from Metal Hammer. Current members - Andrea Ferro (1994 present), Marco Coti Zelati bass, keyboard ( 1994 present) guitars ( 2016), Cristina Scabbia ( 1996 present), Richard Meiz drummer (2019 present), Daniele Salomone guitar ( 2024 present). I’ve been a fan of Lacuna Coil for over 25 years . They frequently play here in the UK . I’ve seen them 3 or 4 times here in Manchester . Cristina Scabbia is female lead and normally has lack hair . She’s beautiful. Karmacode is my favourite album.

Impressive, especially the male vocal fry, which I never normally like as its indecipherable and not very melodic but here is less harsh and sung in really clear English. His voice against those female sweet vocals works excellently (her voice reminds me of Amy fromEvanescence). Plus the music's fecking great and the stage show is coolAF. Oh, I'm very glad you have discovered my compatriots Lacuna coil. I suggest you "Layers of time", IMHO their best song... The female singer is Cristina, the growl singer is Andrea, and they come from Milan and formed in 1994. Other good italian metal bands are Frozen Crown and Ancient Bards, for example...

Lacuna coil born in Milan 1994 but first lp for Century media in 1998/99 now 2024 26 years old. In early 2000 first success in 2002 Comalies , other Europe in Usa on new not american group in Ozzfest. And in 2007 in A tout le monde (set me free) re edit on Cd Youthanasia.orig track. Or collaboration with Apocalypta band , duet with Tarja Tarunen in Goodby Stranger. Cristina scabbia female singer born in Milan in 1972 .

Lacuna coil don't just deserve to be up there with Nightwish etc. They deserve to be recognised as superior. I am a Sabbath fan since 1971 , and since Lacuna coil came onto my favourite bands list. Sabbath of course are number 1. I have just one problem with Lacuna coil. When I make the mistake of listening to them, I go into loop mode. Damn it, it takes me forever to just listen to one of their albums.I don't want to be disrespectful, but to anyone who doesn't realise Lacuna coils greatness. Seek medical assessment.

Wow, this song reminded me how much I like Lacuna Coil. They've been around since 1994. I saw them live once in the mid 2000s. They were very good but very different than what we saw in the video. I guess I saw them before they added growling back into their sound, because that really surprised me here. I like his growling, since it can be understood well enough. Definitely need to get back into them. Very good song choice again. I'm not too familiar with a lot of Italian bands. Off the top of my head here's some bands definitely worth checking out: Nanowar of Steel, Elvenking, Rhapsody of Fire, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Wind Rose, and Secret Sphere. For some obscure Lovebites and Miyako lore, the founder of Italian melodic death metal band Disarmonia Mundi inspired Miyako to start composing and arranging songs.

They are actually good and classy and cover a wide range of Metal styles... they go from Symphonic Gothic to Thrash to Power, they take a snack of Death and spice it with some Prog and even Pop just to have some fun. Any song you take from them will sound different from the last. My favorites could be 'Save me' (kinda Power), 'Victims of Time' (melodic Thrash) and the oldie 'Our Truth' (sparks of Prog).
