when i first saw this series in this very video a year ago my first thought was "this looks like a really old video game". They animated it like Mr Game & Watch, but those style games had to be animated that way since they were trying to shrink a full sized game down to handheld sized, which was difficult for the time so they had to sacrifice alot of detail to make it happen. Even by animated TV series this was bad, it came out within a few months of Aeon Flux (a series made by a producer who mostly did cheap animation) and Darkwing Duck (a cheaply made Disney cartoon, at the time they outsourced alot of animation to countries like Taiwan or Korea) and both had much better animation. Honestly this whole series seems like it would be more at home in the 70's if they changed the music style from Pop Hip-Hop to Funk or Soul music.

When a character changes from one pose to another, the choppiness of the animation doesn't bother me, and at times actually seems kind of stylistic (like when you have your avatar up on screen). It can be kinda neat. However, the moment anything in the show attempts to convey motion of any kind, it all falls flat. NOTHING looks natural.

Let's give Mr. Enter a Patreon request that is to do an Admirable Animation on Milo Murphy's Law! It helped Disney XD get back on its feet!
@EuMesmoVII5 жыл бұрын
I was going to say exactly this. The celebrity cartoon is planned with said celeb in mind, while (from what I've read superficially about it) Milo Murphy seems like a show that would be aired anyway and the producers thought a well known voice would be an extra touch and a "bait" for the parents. If "Milo" is a celeb cartoon for Weird Al, then "Brace Face" is it for Alicia Silverstone and any show which features Mark Hammill is it for him.
@arthas6405 жыл бұрын
Yeah a celebrity cartoon is where the celebrity is a focal point and is at least loosely based on themselves where they play themselves. Milo Murphy just has a celebrity in it. I think Jackie Chan isn't a celebrity cartoon since Jackie Chan didnt appear as himself (although he appeared in bumpers and at the end of each episode), the show was well balanced in terms of character development and focus, and the show avoided the "Mary Sue" characteristics they normally heap on celebrity cartoon stars.
@EuMesmoVII5 жыл бұрын
@@arthas640: By tbe way, I would've never known "Milo" featured a famous voice, since it's aired dubbed in Portuguese here in Brazil and the character's voice artist is just a regular dubbing professional. (But they replaced Alicia Silverstone in "Braceface" with well known TV actress Mariana Ximenes.) Your case about "Jackie Chan" is valid. I think we have a blurry border here: it looks more like Jackie is playing a character (a younger, hotheaded version of himself) with a distinct personality, but his presence there still looks like the cartoon's main selling point. It's a strange hybrid... (And, from a clarity point, I think it should be better to write "him/herself", or some neologism like "hirself" instead of "themselves". Or at least "themself", if you really want to follow the "singular they" path.) (P.S.: Please don't feel offended by the last paragraph. It's just some advice on style and making things less confusing, especially for a non-native speaker like me...!)

They probably had the live action bits at the beginning and end so that it would fill up the half hour and reduce the amount of animation they had to do. technically, Horton was under 20th Century Fox animation, and The Lorax was by Illumination Entertainment (the people behind the minions) which was founded by the guy originally president of 20th century Fox Animation. Sony is not affiliated with either Seuss inspired movie. That said, it doesn't mean Sony is off scot-free. They're the company behind Smurfs and its shitty sequel, and those with the Emoji Movie makes them look like money-grubbing whores. Which it's kind of a shame as they made Hotel Transylvania and Arthur Christmas, two movies I actually really like. Their movies are just a gradient of surprisingly good to very bad.

The episode's plot might have made a bit more sense if the villain was removed entirely. Instead, the dumb girl could have just _found_ magic paint randomly, and used it to tag buildings out of some character-based reasons (peer pressure or personal frustration with authority or some crap). Not realizing that the magic in the paint brought the art to life, and it started running amok. You could even work in how the magic reacted to the emotions of its painter when the art was created, and so the graffiti come to life was running off the girl's frustrations and acting on them. So the girl would be forced to realize that her actions in defacing buildings - and the emotions that motivated them - created problems beyond what she intended. Sure, it's still a contrived and forced story, but it's at least more coherent.

LOL, he's right, Weird Al's parody of 'You Can't Touch This' fits this show like a glove, especially its entire first verse! Speaking of whom, 'Milo Murphy's Law' is definitely worthy of an Admirable Animation, now there's a celebrity- based cartoon done right!

Why are People starting to hate on Cow and Chicken? I Mean it's not one of the greatest Cartoon Network shows, but it's still better than shows like Squirrel Boy, Teen Titans Go!, Uncle Grandpa and Problem Solverz.

Weasel and Baboon was okay ...but the rest of the show is horrible- just annoying. I think people have nostalgia goggles for it.

eartianwerewolf Why do you think it's horrible then?
@bigbrainanime94857 жыл бұрын
I'll Tell you why I think Cow and Chicken sucks. I hate there wanna be Ren and Stimpy gross out style. It wasn't funny or entertaining, it was simply just weak sauce. So sitting through an episode was more of a chore than anything. But I would rather run a marathon of that then watch one episode any of the other shows you listed.

If you're hero is going to have the power to litterally do anything, then that better be the joke of the series, and have some great jokes about it. Bobobo worked because of this, but Hammerman...not so much.
@crappymediareviews24144 жыл бұрын
To make this worse, Hammer wasn't even voiced by Hammer.

Wiimeiser Well, for Pepe, they could make a plot about how he was wrongly accused of being a hate symbol (or in the movie itself, a terrorist or something) and how he tries to prove his innocence...

It doesn't have an english translation, sub or dub, so that's not very likely. Besides, nothing about that show can really be said except "It's a shameless Gumball knockoff." Hilarious that the show itself made fun of it, though.

Oh my god I just noticed something. The villain in this episode also did a huge amount of the voices in all of DiC's Mario cartoons. (Toad in Super Show and most of the Koopalings in 3 and World) How did this guy make such voices without blowing out his own eardrums in the process because he has the voice of nails on a chalkboard.

Oh, fun fact on the emoji movie, the company making it, Sony animation, literally cancelled their Popeye cgi project and a Lauren Faust 'Medusa' project, but some how, the emoji movie is getting made. I'm sure there are different reasons as to why the company cancelled those projects, but for some reason, they kept the emoji movie as a priority.
@ncisfan10027 жыл бұрын
They canceled both of them to make Emoji Movie Which is dumb because both of those would have fared much, MUCH better than The Pop Culture Cash-In Movie

in all honesty the 90s was a good year for anime/manga dragon Ball z, jojos bizzare adventure, yu yu hakusho, inyuasha and ruroni kenshin (mr. enter still needs to watch that show after unfairly crapping on its opening)
