What a great idea. I'm not sure I would've ever thought to use a nail form this way. Thank you for doing this. I loved the fact that someone finally did something with a natural nail. I get so tired of all the extensions.

I didn’t know I could file the gel like that! Fantastic. And now I know why the salon would never cut my nails as short as I wanted. I’m so glad I don’t have to go back there. They always told me I looked tired, which I thought was kind of shitty.

I've just had my natural nails done...its the BEST! I'm a homesteader so working with crops and animals means I cant have long nails (it's dangerous enough) but now I can actually feel more feminine with a more permanent nail covering solution!! Woohoo!!

This is SO HELPFUL! I have finally overcome a nail biting habit and am growing my nails.........i LOVE seeing what you've done here - never even know this was possible! I've never even had a professional manicure. Now i know what to ask for when i do treat myself. My natural nails aren't as short as your thumb nail is, however they're not that much longer. This video gives me hope that I can have pretty nails sooner than later!

Great video! I appreciate the comment about the russian manicure! As a nail tech student here in the states I have learned that we (here in the states) aren’t supposed to do those, but constantly see the videos on my instagram of people doing them with a mani service or incorporating them with a pedi. I’ve had a couple clients inquire about the technique and my only response is that it is out of my scope of practice, and that they need to keep their hands moisturized. Will definitely be trying the forms for my next short nail client!

I’m SO happy I found this video as my nails are very short due to work. I was having trouble, just like you said, with getting the product all over my skin and then trying to get it off without really messing things up! I’m very grateful for you sharing your knowledge, thank you! ❤️🙂

Much appreciated. I'm a guy w/short nails and have been using gel polish (blues & greens) for the past 6+ months and this has always been my main issue. Definetly need to pick up some nail forms. Also, I typically square mine off, but, will try a slightly rounded tip. Thx again.

Thank you so much for explaining this so that someone who is not a professional nail tech can still understand. Wow. Thank you so much. Because of this whole pandemic I had to soak off the acrylic I had on mine. They were lifting bad. (I don't think I can wear acrylic. Have to find a hard gel tech) so after taking off my acrylic my nails were really thin, so they all broke down to nubs. I have thin nails to start with that brake easy. That is why I wear enhancements. But I miss having gel on. Was wanting to paint them, but had no clue how to do it with out getting gel all over my skin. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for this video! My nails are fairly short and I always have trouble capping my free edges without getting polish on my skin. I didn't have any forms handy, so I used the blue painter's tape and it worked fine. I have ordered some forms so I can encapsulate the free edges a bit more, like you showed in the video, as my nails are naturally soft. I'm using the Gelish Foundation Flex to help protect and grow my nails a little longer. Thanks again - I'm not a nail tech, but like to do my own nails and your channel is so helpful. 👋

Thank you so much for this video!! I normally have my nails done with extensions but recently I had to wear them short and probably even should avoid any product overall. Reason being is that I noticed my nails were lifting from the nail bed and I got scared. Do you have any tips on this? Given the current situation I can't go to a doctor if needed so I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help my nails grow back normal. I don't even know what causes the lifting but if you or anyone else seeing this comment has any information or advice I'd be very grateful! 🙏 Thank you for your content!
