I noticed not only does the room temp change how the gel flows, but also if a client's body temp runs hot. Oh boy, in the summer I have issues with that. My previous salon owner started to limit when we could turn on the air conditioner. So the combo of the warm salon and a client's hot body temp will make me change which gel viscosity I use.

Hi. I am a diy person going to school to get my nail license. Can anyone answer this question for me please? When doing a nail fill, Is bottled base gel the same as the base gel you put on after protein bond and before The filler gel? Ty in advance 💕
@TheNailHub3 жыл бұрын
Hi almost all gels can be found in both pots and bottles so it's important to look at what it actually is. If it says base coat then that is the product you will want to apply to the natural nail. And then builder gel after. Protein bond or bonder is an additional product you can add before base coat to enhance adhesion but it should be used sparingly. Hope that helps.
@XOXOlove573 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to sculpt a nail with such thin gel? Or is it only recommended to use a thicker viscosity for sculpting?
@TheNailHub3 жыл бұрын
I personally use thin gels for sculpting. I’m covering thick gels in my next video.
@XOXOlove573 жыл бұрын
I’m glad to know it’s possible! I’ve tried using thin gels for sculpting but I always end up with breaking or cracking where the tip meets the natural nail. The thinner gels always seem to get under my form and nails which can sometimes make a notch on my side walls. I think I need to work on my form application! I know another mistake I was making was that I wasn’t pointing the finger downward when sculpting, thus making the product run under the nail. Thank you so much!
