Should you use cuticle remover on toe nails also?

What do you do about clients who have extremely overgrown cuticles that have stretched the eponychium half way up the nail? The type where when you push it back its just this big flap of skin sticking up.
@TheNaturalNailGuru

Monica Trujillo The most important thing is educating clients in situations like that it will not be a one appointment fix it will take time but it will be done healthy the right way so that no more damage is done and they will see how quickly their cuticle gets back to normal and minimize overall growth in the future . Gently push back as much as you can and remove what you can with the pusher nip only what’s absolutely necessary you do not want to nip too much . after two or three manicures you’ll see how that cuticle gets back to a more “normal” growth. I’ll make sure if I get a client that has this example that I record and keep track of it so I can show exactly how quickly that cuticle can get back to healthy 😉

I love your content! Always so informative and straight to the point. I like to do my own mani with gel polish at home, but I don't have any cuticle remover at home, and since I'm from Morocco I really don't know where to buy it from. So I was wondering is it possible to soak your hand in water and remove cuticles with your technique a day before or in the morning and wait for the nails to dry 6 hours or so and then apply the gel. Thank you in advance! Keep up the amazing work ❤️

That is actually a great idea! Use water to soften and definitely let it thoroughly dry before doing the manicure you really shouldn’t have any issue whatsoever doing that. As a matter of fact you can do your cuticle cleaning right after you get out of the shower your hands are already soaked and your skin super soft! And thank you so much for your support I truly appreciate it and I promise you there’s so much more information to share😉

@@TheNaturalNailGuru thank you so much for your answer 😍😍 and doing it after the shower is an amazing idea. I really can't wait to see more content from you and to learn from you. You kinda got me addicted to gel polish 😅. I would love to see you try Ali express gel polishes and get your opinion on them. Thanks again ❤️

I am so exciting and looking forward to see you perform pedicure service so so much. I would love to learn what product you use and effective for service. I already learn how you perform waterless manicure and I love it. I alway unhappy and nervous when I file customers nail especially who have very thin nail. I always have this question in my head and now all you mention is very make sense. Now I go waterless as you :) I already order the product that you use for cuticle. Thank you again.

So how long would you wait after a shower to paint your nails?
@ohcarolina8671
@ohcarolina8671 2 жыл бұрын
Take this with a pinch because I'm not an expert, but I think that you don't shower with naked nails. Gel polish protects your nails from absorbing too much water. So shower as normal and a couple of hours you should be alright to remove your gel, complete your manicure and reapply your gel 🤷🏾‍♀️👍🏾

How long does it take for you to do a manicure? How have you cut down on time?
@TheNaturalNailGuru
@TheNaturalNailGuru 3 жыл бұрын
Time is the last thing I worry about when doing a service I don’t care about time. Worrying about time is where we cut corners and we do things that are not helping our nails and in the end it will make you work harder because you’re not going to keep clients in the chair you’re constantly having to find new people to fill your appointments and you’re going to have clients that are complaining that their nails don’t last, cutting cuticle making people bleed etc so time should never be an issue or concern. With that said considering the soak off time and assuming the client does not do any art I generally take about an hour sometimes a few minutes less sometimes a few minutes more but my average manicure time is about an hour 😉

@@TheNaturalNailGuru between soaking i use the soaking off machine with the acetone and soaking pedi. Waterless i think im taking to long from 3-5hrs. Im just starting so I guess with more practice. I'll get better but im not sure why im taking so long. Idk if there's a faster way to soak or a place I can cut some time out. But both pedi and mani are gel. While curing etc. Idk🤷🏽‍♀️ is there any tips you can give me?

dont you have to deactivate the cutucle softener with soap and water though?
@TheNaturalNailGuru
@TheNaturalNailGuru 4 жыл бұрын
Melissa Belch In many cases cuticle softener is acidic so once you’re done using it you do want to spray and wipe the area with water to remove any remaining product however I would definitely read instructions for any cuticle softener you use in case it does require specific instructions after use.
