For my set, I have to use the PH Bond before I used the base coat. Is that wrong?

Great! so, do you only apply the top coat to the edge of the tip? do you also apply the colour to the edge?

I always make sure to polish base coat color coat and topcoat all the way to the edge but I guess I really only The edge with the clearcoat

Monique X I do not offer regular polish manicures in my shop only for little girls in with their moms. However I will be doing videos working with regular polish even with acrylic making sure things are getting done right to protect your nail health. 💁🏻‍♀️

@@TheNaturalNailGuru Ah my bad for not being clear. 😅 What I mean is, sliding the brush with some product across the end of the free edge - basically the tip of the nail. Mainly it is done in traditional nail paint to make manicures last longer.

@@rejikaur gotcha! Yes you definitely want to make sure that you’re capping the free edge with each coat especially the topcoat! 😉

No never. With a good nail prep you really don’t need it. I’ve been going without it for seven years and my clients have the longest lasting manicures they’ve ever had. 😉

Deb Beroff for Polish I mostly use OPi, Perfect match, gelish, dnd. They have great variety on colors and easy matching pair for toes. Honestly if you have a great manicure and are using a good base and topcoat any color brand works awesome. The only difference between brands and their colors for me are the consistency of the gel is it too thin and runny or is it too thick and also how consistent as the matching between the hands and feet. Those are really the only two things I look at for gel polish colors but for the most part all of them work great definitely haven’t come across any polish that gives me serious issue other than just the consistency or the matching

Deb Beroff and for base and topcoat I have always used gelish it is durable and some thing that I can depend on 100% but recently since starting product reviews so far DND has been the only one to really compete with gelish it’s long lasting stays shiny and stain resistant! I still have so many more brands to try but DND has definitely put up a good challenge

I have the OPI base and top coat, but I have noticed that the base coat starts to shrink and also makes the color shrink. I do prepare the nails correctly, but it still occurs and the color comes off in the next couple of days. Any advice?

Sabrina Raymundo I have now been using OPI base and topcoat for about three months I haven’t had that issue happen not once. Make sure that you are not soaking the nails in water for the manicure and also make sure that you are buffing the nail with a soft buffer all around the edges . There’s definitely got to be some opportunity with the prep to help that from happening if I think of anything else I’ll make sure to comment

Aracelis Arce well in my opinion. It is absolutely pointless and I don’t waste the money or time with it, at least when it comes to just regular gel polish But waterless manicure is the key! 😉

Beauty J Depends on the type of light that you use. I use LED which only requires 10 seconds for the basecoat and 30 seconds for color and topcoat although I always give it an extra 10 seconds 😉 I’ll be doing a video on the different types of light very soon

Oh My Gel ok I’m going to try I got a lamp from amazon! Is it possible to over cue the gel? Like will that mess up the process

Beauty J That’s a great question and actually be doing a short video talking about that. But yes it is possible to overhear the gel but I would say it would need significant time under the light for that to happen. And essentially what it does is just make the product brittle so it’s more likely to crack and chip. I’ll definitely be going into detail on this soon!

No you really don’t want to wipe off base coat or the color polish coats unless you’re going to do art and need to.
