FiE would be their best album if they took out a few of the filler sings cuz they would still have enough material for a great album

To those wondering about the lack of a yellow flannel, here’s my personal take: it seems like Fantano already figured plenty of people had made up their opinion on the record, or were already gonna click on the review immediately that he didn’t feel the need to wear the yellow flannel. I sense that he usually wears it for reviews of records or artists that wouldn’t normally get a ton of attention and the Strokes are nowhere near that kind of band. Plenty of non-subscribers are gonna be visiting this video purely because it’s about the Strokes and not because of a flannel color.

Nah, Angles was good, but it wasn't what you'll expect from The Strokes. Also Naoto isn't even the best girl for P4

@@maxxvii2037 Angles was great. So was First Impressions, albeit too long and kinda underwhelming. Also yes she is

MaxxVII Yeah this was more strokesy than angles, and less bloated than first impressions (still love both of those albums tho)

The bass part of the outro of "Not the same anymore" instantly reminded me of the Twin Peaks theme melody.

i like your outfit for this album review fanta, gave me a scare but it fits nicely into basquiat's graffitti, you look smooth and fresh and like a teenager in 2003 playing "is this it" "kid a" and "yankee hotel foxtrot" on repeat, even making an appearance in haruki murakami's novel

Ngl comedown machine is the reason I vibe to the strokes that’s the album that sold me to their music. Put some respeck on that album!

As someone who's been a fan of the strokes for a long time, i probably revisit comedown the most. It's super peppy and I love the variation of sound from track to track. Welcome to Japan is funky as hell, One Way Trigger is an electronic bop, 80s Comedown has got that blissful depression vibe, and Call It Fate Call It Karma sounds like being on ambien
