I actually understand that sentiment at the end completely! Like I can't even afford to shop second hand stuff! Niche lady is out of my budget! 😂 But I can totally appreciate, without envy, other people's lives! They worked for their money the same as the rest of us, they just chose different paths than us that led them to a different result! I love looking at finery, of all genres of Art, and furniture, I admire so many styles, and I also know the great majority of things I come across will NEVER look good in my very small AZ dwelling. Two awesome estate sales. You could definitely tell these people were wealthy. I liked a lot of things at the 1st place, but out of my price range. I hope you were able to go back the 2nd day & purchase some of those pieces for your business. The 2nd one, I was in awe of most of the stuff as soon as you walked in the door & showed us that lamp, it looked like most of it should have been in a museum. Did I envy the people, not at all. Would I want my house to look like a museum, not at all. But for them, they were able to buy things that made them happy and brought them a lot of joy, at least I hope it did, and that makes me happy. I guess I’m pretty much saying what you said & meant, good for them to be able to afford & appreciate fine items, but that’s not my cup of tea, nor is it yours. It’s just fun to be able to see how other people, with money to burn, live their lives. I’m hoping this makes sense, just bc we like to look at & appreciate expensive things doesn’t mean that we want them or are envious of them.
